LONDON -- The government-funded U.K. Film Council on Thursday named four projects that will each receive £10,000 ($16,592) for script development in its 25 Words or Less program. Supported by the council's development fund, the program selects projects pitched in 25 words or less to be fast-tracked into screenplays. The four winners were chosen from hundreds of entries, the council said. Two were selected in the teen movies category: Freestyle, by Michael Maynard, in which "a suburban teenage girl uses the freestyle basketball arena to fight prejudice and win the heart of her urban rival"; and Air Guitar, by Phil O'Shea, in which "superstore shelf stacker Chris sets out to win the heart of posh 16-year-old classical violinist Sophie by becoming world air-guitar champion."...
