The i’s have been dotted, the t’s have been crossed, with actor, Old Spice pitchman and former NFL player Terry Crews sealing a deal to become the new host of the syndicated Who Wants To Be A Millionaire for the next 13th season, which launches in the fall. He succeeds Cedric the Entertainer, who hosted the show this season. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is going through a number of changes, some of them cost-saving, heading into the 2014-15 season. Veteran game show and TV producer James Rowley is joining as new executive producer, and production is being moved to Stamford, Connecticut where it is expected to benefit from a tax break. I hear Crews, who co-stars n Fox’s comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, had been exploring doing a syndicated show and met with several studios, with Disney-abc jumping in with the Millionaire offer. “Terry is engaging,...

TRUtv's Killer Karaoke is either the epitome of trash TV or a surrealist masterpiece. The game show has contestants "suffer" through humiliating obstacle courses while also performing karaoke at the same time. These aren't mere everyday obstacles: There's "Cactus Maze," where a balloon-covered singer has to wear drunk goggles and wander through a sea of cacti; "Shock Therapy," where a singer strapped with shock collars and bracelets attempts to serve margaritas and guacamole; and even a game called "Swamp Swing," where a singer is dipped into a vat of ice-cold water and snakes. But what's the line between humiliation and torture? We spoke with executive producer James Rowley to learn exactly how much high-minded thought goes into something so perfectly lowbrow.Start with big ideas. We have a staff of producers and people that are really well-versed in the physical — people from Wipeout and Fear Factor. In the beginning, everything is open.

Meteorite Men: Geoff Notkin Previews Season Three Premiere
Fans of smart, adventurous, documentary-style reality shows will be happy to learn that on Monday, November 28th, the Meteorite Men return to TV with their third season premiere on the Science Channel. I became a fan based on my affinity for all space-related topics and because they had their 'Meteorite Bike' built on another of my favorite reality shows, American Chopper. The Meteorite Men are Geoff Notkin and Steve Arnold, two 'rock stars' in the space-rock hunting world.
Geoff Notkin is an accomplished science writer and photographer, entrepreneur, musician (who'll be performing with rock band Feed on December 17th for a charity concert in Tucson), as well as meteorite hunter and show host. Born in NYC, Geoff spent his formative years with his parents in England. As a young child interested in science, a visit to London's Geological Museum awoke a...
