Netflix released the trailer Monday for “Love at First Sight,” starring Haley Lu Richardson and Ben Hardy, and the rom-com promises to be filled with as much twists and turns as audiences would expect.
Based on Jennifer E. Smith’s best-selling novel, “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight,” the film follows Hadley (Richardson) who misses her flight from New York to London and meets Oliver (Ben Hardy) in a chance encounter in the process. The pair feel an instant connection, which makes their long overnight flight go by very quickly. The film launches Sept. 15.
“On a typical day at John F. Kennedy Airport, there are thousands of people going to hundreds of places,” narrator Jameela Jamil says at the beginning of the clip.

Alex Cooper‘s Call Her Daddy has some serious song-boosting power.
According to Spotify data reported by Variety, major music artists who made guest appearances on Call Her Daddy saw significant upticks in streaming traffic in the 48 hours after their episode went live.
John Legend, who appeared on the show in March, saw a 200% spike in his Spotify streams. Madison Beer‘s went up 155% after her May appearance. Anitta had a guest spot in April that gave her a 150% boost. And the biggest surge of all went to John Mayer, whose streams went up 350% after his December 2022 episode.
Cooper attributes the upticks to her focus on “getting to know the person behind the fame and music.”
