On early Thursday morning, Jasmine Samuel, 25, called 911 to report that she had been abducted and forced into the trunk of her own car by her ex-boyfriend and co-worker David Payne while on break at work. The call set off a desperate search for Samuel, who remained on the phone with police for about 15 minutes before dispatchers lost contact with her. According to Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings, there were times during the call where sirens could be heard in the background.

Kinetic, Wpp's out-of-home media unit, said Tuesday that it is moving its base to the U.S. As part of the restructuring, Steve Ridley was promoted to global COO, based in the U.S.
Most recently CEO for the Americas, Ridley is credited with building Kinetic's market position with six offices and billings exceeding $1.3 billion. Among the recent wins was MillerCoors, which named Kinetic its out of home agency of record.
In his new role, Ridley will remain in the U.S. "to give a wider emphasis to the management of Kinetic and broaden the resource from its traditional U.K. headquarters," the company said in a statement.
David Payne, currently CEO of Kinetic Emea, will transfer to the U.S. to take on the role as chief executive for the Americas.
