Spencer Breslin, Stacey Dash and Taryn Manning are set to star in “Four,” a feature adaptation of Ashley Berry’s memoir “Waiting for Rainbows.”
Meghan Carrasquillo (“What Lies Behind the Walls”) will star in the film as Berry, a woman struggling with infertility who eventually turns to adoption.
Breslin (“The Santa Clause 3”) will play Berry’s husband Cal while Dash (“Clueless”) will play social worker Beth. Manning (“Orange is the New Black”) stars as Dr. Brice.
“A small-town couple with big dreams of making their family complete must persevere through infertility and tragedy,” reads the longline. “Hope and fear may come and go, but with love as their rock, they vow to withstand the storm… together.”
The film adaptation has been retitled “Four.”

Uncork’d Entertainment has acquired director James Cullen Bressack’s well-received horror-comedy, “Murder, Anyone?” based on the play of the same name by Bressack’s father, Emmy-award winner Gordon Bressack.
The film will be released in early 2023.
“Murder, Anyone?” explores the concept of manifestation, and stars Kristos Andrews (“The Bay”), Galadriel Stineman (“The Middle”), Maurice Lamarche (“Pinky and the Brain”), Spencer Breslin, and Oscar nominee Sally Kirkland.
The story follows playwrights George and Charlie, tasked with the challenge of creating the next “avant-garde, surrealistic, mind-bending neo-noire thriller.” Unfortunately, as they write, the story comes to life in real time — but their own emotions and arguments also begin to manifest on film, creating sharp twists and turns and filling their life with hilarity — and chaos.

In director James Cullen Bressack’s upcoming film, “Murder, Anyone?”, two playwrights named George and Charlie, are tasked with the challenge of creating the next “avant-garde, surrealistic, mind-bending neo-noire thriller.”
Unfortunately, as they write, the story comes to life in real time. However, their own emotions and arguments also begin to manifest on film, creating sharp twists and turns and filling their life with hilarity — and chaos. And below, you can get a hint of what that’s like courtesy of some exclusive-to-TheWrap images.
The comedic play-within-a-play-within-a-movie, which per Bressack contemplates “the complexities of language, art, theater, film and more” is also especially personal for him. It’s based on the play written by his father, Emmy award-winning “Pinky and the Brain” writer Gordon Bressack, who died in 2019.
“I self financed and made the film in honor of my father’s memory so his words could live on,” Bressack said.

In 2012 James Thomas and Canyon Prince founded Two Guys and a Film with a goal of shooting two feature films. In the summer they began production on the films, which they uniquely shot back-to-back.
"Two Guys and a Film was started out of a passion and desire to tell gritty yet compelling stories,” James shares. “When people think of independent films, they often think of art house films. But in all actuality, it simply means that we produce films independently of a major studio. This allows us to have a larger say in what we produce and allows us the freedom to...

Live interactive horror project Killcam: Live has added over 1.1 million viewers to its rapidly growing "Killmunity." The project, directed by John Darko, debuted on October 31st and runs through the end of the year. Killcam: Live stars April Wade, Ben Begley, Tracy Clifton, Derrick Oliver, Sam Weller, Emily Dykes, Diahnna Nicole Baxter, Billy Towers, Mirai Booth-Ong, and Rolence Patugan. Killcam: Live is the brain child of Wade and filmmaker Canyon Prince. n Killcam: Live, viewers across the world interact directly with the characters in the ongoing storyline, changing the way audiences are interacting with entertainment programming. Audiences have already witnessed the (fictional) brutal killings of three of the story's main characters and one surprise death. Some viewers become characters in the story itself, and others participate in "Cill Contests" in which they rip footage from the live and narrative story into their own recap videos. The...

Pencil this in for the weekend. If you’re anywhere in Southern California working in new media or online video it’s worth a trip down to Orange County for the Anaheim International Film Festival. The five-day festival kicked off with an opening night gala on Wednesday at UltraStar Cinemas at Anaheim GardenWalk. Web series creator Canyon Prince, behind comedies First Edition and The Romantic Foibles of Esteban, is one of the producers of the festival and a big reason for this year’s heavy push into new media at the fest. Emerging independent films are the mainstay of the festival, but Prince was able to program a lineup that’s refreshingly more than a passing nod to the internet’s impact on entertainment. It’s a mix of screenings, panels and even a New Media Market for creators to showcase their works to prospective buyers and distributors. Sunday night...

Launching a web series about comic books the very same day of nerd-pop’s annual right of passage Comic-Con does, is a bold move. This is after all when all of the major pillars of entertainment descend upon San Diego to woo the 140,000 bleary-eyed geek skeptics with their latest comic, sci-fi or frankly, even questionably geeky wares. It’s sensory overload for pop culture’s early adopters, and standing out here often means global celebs and huge billboards. (If you’re already there or heading to San Diego make sure to check out our Web Series Guide to Comic-Con 2010) But for First Edition, they learned a thing or two about web series and Comic-Con from the show it admits was a heavy inspiration—Comic-Con favorite The Guild. It may not have its own panel, and surprise music video to unveil, but it knows that launching a show about a ragtag...

In all honesty I don’t really know what I like about this show. It’s kind of like Michael Corleone’s line from The Godfather, “Just when I thought I was out…They pull me back in…” The Romantic Foibles of Esteban is a show about a guy and the disastrous dates he sets up on an on-line dating service called Kung Fu Dating. And it often goes to somewhat obvious and broad places, but somehow remains both fresh and charming...with a little cheese thrown in. Created by Canyon Prince and J Michael Briggs, each episode begins with the talking mouth of Esteban’s new date, followed by the click of his mouse. Episode two is the weakest of the bunch, though Esteban’s date, actress Ellen, is nicely played in all her psycho-brilliance by Gillian Shure. But it’s episode three where I found myself really enjoying...
