Rachel Witenstein is an award-winning writer of film advertising, essays, documentaries and feature films. Rachel received her MFA from the UCLA School of Theater Film and Television in Screenwriting, and also studied writing at USC, The Conservatory for Audiovisual Writing in Paris (CEEA), and the Charles University in Prague.
Rachel began her career in film production, working with legendary music producer Don Was on a series of documentaries featuring musical icons such as Brian Wilson, Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, and Johnny Cash. During her graduate studies, she started writing for film advertising at Seiniger Advertising. After graduating from UCLA, she became the head writer at mOcean AV. Rachel's line for Ocean's 12, "Twelve is the New Eleven," was one of the most recognizable copy lines of its decade. Since then, she has helped create campaigns for countless feature films and television series. Rachel is now a creative consultant and freelance writer for agencies, networks, and studios such as Disney, Paramount, Sony, Warner Bros., NBC Universal, HBO, Netflix, Amazon, Starz, FX, Bravo and more.
