- Like her sister, Anne, she also kept a diary, but it was never found.
- On July 5, 1942, she received a notice to report to a labor camp and the next day went into hiding with her family at her father's office building. They were later joined by four other Jewish refugees and remained hidden for two years until they were betrayed on August 4, 1944.

Anne Frank was a more outspoken extrovert so it's likely that she wouldn't mind that her diary had been published and would go on to inspire millions of readers to come. Margot however, was more of an introvert and often kept to herself, so it's likely that she would not have appreciated her private thoughts being shared with the rest of the world if her diary had been found.
