- Died on 22 February, 1957 at age 52, from heart ailment.
- In the short documentary The Potterymaker (1925), he appears with his daughter Ruth Raffo but they do not play father and daughter. She plays a curious girl who attends his pottery shop.
- Ceramist and pottery maker, Raffo was the first student at Greenwich House Pottery in the early 1920's, and later on became a professor there.
- His daughter Anne-Marie Raffo was married with WWII veteran/writer James Patrick O'Neill from 1951 to 2020.
