Law & Order Svu may have lost Christopher Meloni at one point. But his absence allowed for Mariska Hargitay to tinker around with new storylines, some involving potential love interests for her character. But there was one on-screen romantic partner that Hargitay may not have appreciated breaking up with.

Hargitay’s Olivia Benson explored a few romantic partners after Meloni’s departure from Svu. And although some of her flings were entirely new characters, she once dated a character fans were very familiar with. Robert John Burke’s Ed Tucker had been a part of the series since season 3. He played a stoic and no-nonsense Narc that was constantly at odds with Elliott Stabler and Olivia Benson. But as the series changed over time,...

Law & Order Svu stars Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni have been shipped by fans for years. But in real life, Hargitay’s already been paired with her husband for 19 years Peter Hermann. But Hermann has been well aware of the bond between Hargitay and Meloni, and had a very understandable reaction to it.

Meloni and Hargitay have known each other far longer than she and Hermann have. The two signed on to Law & Order Svu in 1999 after screen testing together. They would grow closer over the years before Meloni’s departure from the show in 2011, but still seemed to remain good friends. Given their closeness, some have wondered if Hargitay and Meloni ever dated in real life.

NCIS star Mark Harmon leaving the franchise was a shock to many. A few fans felt that Harmon and his character Leroy Gibbs meant too much to the show for him to ever walk away. Including Michael Weatherly.

NCIS has teased fans with Harmon leaving the show a few times. The series has had a few cliffhangers where the fate of Harmon’s Leroy Gibbs is up in the air. However, no one truly believed that Gibbs would end up dying, or that Harmon would leave the show as a result. Especially Weatherly. When Harmon’s Leroy Gibbs ended up in a life-or-death situation, Weatherly had no doubts that the character would be back.

Tracy Lauren Marrow had one of the coolest stage names when he entered the rap game, dubbing himself with a moniker that’ll forever be synonymous with hip-hop: Ice-t. Nearly 40 years later, Mariska Hargitay has now revealed she has a fresher nickname for him, if not a cooler one.
The revelation came to light on Thursday at Ice-t’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. While presenting the legendary rapper, and actor, Hargitay said one of the reasons why she loves Ice-t is because he allows her to call him nicknames. While at the podium, she turned to her “Law & Order: Svu” co-star and practically begged him if she could divulge the nickname only she’s allowed to call him.
Unable to contain his laughter, Ice-t relented, prompting Hargitay to exclaim, “He lets me call him Icy!” Following the presentation of his newly minted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,...

Although he may be best known for his successful music career, Ice-t is also on the television of millions every Thursday night.
Acting has been in his blood for years, as he had his breakout role in “New Jack City” in 1991, followed by “Surviving the Game” in 1994. However, it was the next year he met the man who changed his TV career. In 1995, Ice-t landed a recurring role as a drug dealer on Dick Wolf’s “New York Undercover,” beginning their professional collaborations. After, he co-created “Players,” with Wolf as the producer, but that didn’t last. So, Wolf gave him a part in 1998’s “Exiled: A Law & Order Movie.”
Two years later, the world was introduced to Odafin “Fin” Tutuola in Season 2 of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” on which he’s appeared in more than 400 episodes.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit — Mariska Hargitay as Captain Olivia Benson — (Photo by: Heidi Gutman/NBC) When Mariska Hargitay auditioned for the role of Olivia Benson on a new Law & Order spin-off series, she had no idea how much the show would change her life. After she was offered the job on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, she prepared for her new gig by getting trained as a rape crisis advocate. That, along with the sometimes shocking stories she encountered on the show, inspired her to take that advocacy to new levels. Benson's adopted son has gone through a lot since Ryan Buggle began playing him in 2017.

What's it been like for you to have grown up working on a show like Svu?
It is just incredible because I get to meet so many different people in the Village. Like Ice-t, Mariska... I get to see everyone. It's so amazing.
That's awesome. And I know you're not on Svu full-time. Do you go to school when you're not on the show?
I'm homeschooled. I do three hours a day, sometimes four. I'm in eighth grade.
What's your favorite subject?
I love history. Right now, I'm learning about geography.
Cool. So...

Ice-t is being celebrated as the longest-running male actor in a TV series for his role on “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit”. Having joined the series in 2000, with over 400 episodes under his belt, the Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola actor has reached this impressive milestone achievement.
Et’s Rachel Smith spoke with Ice-t and his wife, Coco Austin, on the red carpet of Heidi Klum‘s famous Halloween party on Monday, where the couple was dressed as vampires for the holiday.
Despite celebrating his achievement as the longest-running male actor on a single series, Ice-t was quick to concede that his co-star, Mariska Hargitay, holds the title for women.
“Mariska beat me but she’s an actress,” Ice-t shared. “You’ve gotta be on the show that stays on the longest — [‘Law and Order’] is the longest-running show, so to get that title you have to be on — it’s all consecutive.

When you think of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, you think of stars Ice-t and Mariska Hargitay. Fans have watched the duo—who play Odafin "Fin" Tutuola and Olivia Benson, respectively—take down NYC criminals for over two decades on the long-running NBC crime drama. And just like the characters' close bond on-screen, fans will be delighted to know that Ice-t and Hargitay are just as close off-screen. In fact, Ice-t revealed that he knew the actress before Svu. "Me and Mariska lived on the same street in Hollywood," he exclusively told E! News at the show's season 24 premiere in NYC on Sept. 19. "We lived on Sunset Plaza, and her family house was up the hill, and my house...

Mariska Hargitay (Captain Olivia Benson) and Christopher Meloni (Detective Elliot Stabler) once were onscreen partners, have teamed up for Svu and Organized Crime crossovers (which will continue), and took to the 2022 Emmys stage together to present Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. But first, to introduce them, someone stole an Emmy. “Oh, come on,” Meloni groaned. “Do we ever get a night off?” Hargitay asked. “I’ll take your lipstick,” he said, but “No time,” she told him as they quickly got up from their table. After catching the thief, Meloni took the Emmy. “That is pretty cool,” he said, looking at it. “I’m good,” Hargitay told him. (She won an Emmy in 2006 for playing Olivia Benson on Svu.) Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni can't be stopped. The Law & Order stars continue to tease fans who hope to see their characters, Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler, together. This time, the actors broke hearts on the 2022 Emmys stage Sept. 12, taking part in a skit that nearly saw them kiss. Here's how it went down: Following a preview of the Law & Order: Organized Crime, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order crossover event, cameras showed a thief steal an Emmys statuette. The cameras then panned to Mariska, who just so happened to have her legs on top of Chris. "Come on!" Chris grumbled, to which Mariska said, "Do we ever get a night...
