I’ve got a solid sci-fi short for you to watch today called Traveler. The movie was written and directed by Simon Brown of the The CGBros, and you can tell he put a lot of hard work into bringing his story to the screen. Brown is a VFX artist that has worked on films such as The Matrix Revolutions, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and Ice Age: Meltdown. He obviously used his skills to add a bit a visual awesomeness to his short.
"Traveler" is a teaser short for an epic sci-fi feature set in the near future. When a group of friends discover a secret code on the dark-web, they build a jet-powered craft to attempt jumping to the far side of our galaxy. But when they succeed, they unwittingly open up earth to the ‘aware’ - civilizations who are advanced enough to ‘jump’ through space.

"Rachel?" Some nifty sci-fi to kick off 2016. Director Simon Brown has debuted a short film that plays as a teaser for a full feature called Traveler, about four friends who develop a teleportation system in a sleek jet-powered craft. This is much more exciting than you thank, and you will definitely wish there was more to it by the end, which is the whole point. It's a helluva pitch. I really love the setup, and the vehicle looks cool. Plus the sudden twist in this is awesome. Once you get through it, if you want to learn more about the story and where it's headed there's info on their website. Give this short a watch and let us know what you think. It's about time conflict cinema turned towards home, says Stuart Griffiths, the ex-para at the centre of a new documentary on homelessness and the armed forces
A grim-faced man trudges down London's sodium-bathed streets. A soldier bares his tattoos to him in a sterile institutional kitchen. The Brighton Sunday-night crowd, watching, shift in the dark, the aroma of stale beer rising from the seats like forest humidity. The shadow of a guitar head from the band playing the live score slips occasionally on to the side of the screen, as bruised servicemen talk about ambushes and trauma and neglect and grasping for the light.
