[Music] has been everything in my life; I carry it in my heart. I started singing since I was little and my favorite composers are Agustín Lara and Mario Ruiz Armengol.
When I was young, I traveled from Pachuca to Mexico City and went to an amateur contest at XEW [radio] and sang "Perfidia". I won and they hired me from there; later I was [singing] at El Patio, which was one of the best nightclubs [in Mexico City], and then [I went on] tours and [made] recordings.
