Charles Andre Pugh
Charles Pugh is an American former television journalist, radio personality, and politician. He notably held a decade-long position as the weekend anchor at Fox 2/WJBK in Detroit. His career extended to radio hosting on shows like CoCo, Foolish and Mr. Chase in the Morning, and a talk show, "That's What's Up," initially airing on Sunday evenings on FM 98/WJLB. In 2009, Pugh made history by being elected as the council president of Detroit City Council, marking him the city's first openly LGBT elected official. Pugh's tenure as city council president spanned from 2010 until his resignation in 2013.
