Actress Drew Barrymore was tricked into thinking she was chatting to a footballer on a dating app. She also shared that she doesn’t have a great time on dating apps.
The 48-year-old actress split from Will Kopelman – with whom she has Olive, 11, and nine-year-old Frankie – in 2016 after four years of marriage and has been single ever since but has tried her luck on the dating app and was left unsure what to make of the situation when it turned out the man was actually a musician, reports Female First UK.
Speaking on her self-titled chat show, she said: “Every time I get on there it does not feel great. I always last five days. And this time my app has changed where it shows people like you so it’s very flattering… but I don’t know who anyone is and it just feels scary to go out with a stranger.

Los Angeles, Nov 17 (Ians) Hollywood star Drew Barrymore has talked about why she is steering clear of plastic surgery. She said that she is avoiding cosmetic procedures because of her “highly addictive” nature.
Barrymore said: “I have a highly addictive personality, so I worry I’d continue to chase it, get this and that done. That scares me, just because of my own approach to things.”
“So, I’m waiting on making any alterations,” Barrymore told People reports pagesix.com.
The ’50 First Date’ actress, who battled substance abuse as an adolescent and gave up drinking altogether in 2021, said that she has not “done anything” to fight the aging process.
“And I’m going to maintain that as long as possible,” she said.
“I have zero judgment for anyone doing anything. But I do not see myself resorting to it.”
Barrymore does, however, indulge in beauty products and loves experimenting with different hairstyles and hues.

Drew Barrymore and Batman Begins star Christian Bale already tested the waters with each other when they were younger. Barrymore didn’t fancy Bale much at the time, but she later shared she’d have a different reaction to the actor in their older years.

Barrymore and Bale both knew each other when they were child stars. But the two responded to child stardom quite differently. Barrymore’s fame and upbringing led to self-destructive behavior that landed her in rehab at 13. Bale, however, didn’t experience the same level of adversity that Barrymore did. But he confided that he wasn’t a fan of being a child star, either.

Over it! Drew Barrymore doesn’t have the energy for all the theatrics and tumultuousness of love and dating.
The actress and daytime talk show host recently sat down for a conversation with New York Magazine, for its annual TV Issue, and opened up about her reluctance to explore new relationships.
Speaking about being single — in juxtaposition to a career filled with romantic comedy roles — Barrymore says, “I spent a lot of my life loving romance and drama and all of that. I just burnt myself out on it.”
“I genuinely am tired and exhausted,” shares Barrymore, who has been married three times, most recently to art consultant Will Kopelman. The pair were married in 2012 but wound up getting divorced in 2016 after welcoming two children — Olive, 10, and Frankie, 9.

Drew Barrymore was just 6 years old when she first met director Steven Spielberg during a casting for 1982's blockbuster hit "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial." Little did she know, the audition would not only lead to her breakout role as an actor but a long-lasting friendship with Spielberg. In an interview with Vulture published on June 5, the 48-year-old actor said Spielberg was "the only person in my life to this day that ever was a parental figure."
Barrymore, who's been open about growing up with uninvolved and abusive parents, apparently asked Spielberg if he could be her dad while they were working on "E.T." together, but he declined. So then she asked if he could be her godfather, and he said yes. Spielberg also went to great lengths to conceal the realities of a film set for Barrymore after she noticed men operating the alien behind a wall and she asked him to kick them out.

Drew Barrymore has been in the spotlight for over four decades, but there are probably still some things you may not know about her, including her dating history. While Barrymore has remained single since ending her marriage to Will Kopelman in April 2016, the 48-year-old actor and mom of two has been vocal about her fondness for falling in love; over the years, Barrymore has dated fellow Hollywood stars like Justin Long, Luke Wilson, and director Spike Jonze, as well as musicians Fabrizio Moretti and Eric Erlandson - and she's even guilty of "ghosting" on Christian Bale after one date back in the '80s!
In a June 2023 interview with Vulture, Barrymore gave an update on her dating life, revealing she's been swiping on the Raya dating app but hasn't been interested. "I was such a love junkie," she recalled. "I was almost never not single."

In a Feb. 13 interview on "The Drew Barrymore Show," the pair discussed raising their kids in the public eye and wanting to take better care of them than they themselves had been cared for as children.

Drew Barrymore is an open book when it comes to discussing her divorce from Will Kopelman and her dating life.

The pair share daughters Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8, together.
Barrymore insists of the breakup, “There was no scandal. Nothing went wrong, which is cleaner, but makes it harder and more confusing because there isn’t The Thing to point to.
“We tried so hard to make it work. [A friend] said to me, ‘Divorce is the death of a dream.’ That’s exactly what it feels like, something so final you can’t get it back.”

Drew Barrymore‘s daughters won’t be unwrapping presents under the tree come Christmas morning. Et’s Nischelle Turner spoke with the 47-year-old host of “The Drew Barrymore Show”, and she revealed why she doesn’t buy Christmas gifts for Frankie, 8, and Olive, 10, the girls she shares with her ex, Will Kopelman.
“I always take them on a trip every Christmas. I don’t get them presents, which I think at their ages they don’t love, but I say, ‘I think we’ll remember the place and the photos and the experience and that’s what I want to give you,'” she explained. “They get plenty of things throughout the year, so I’m not like some weird, strict, cold mom who’s like, ‘You don’t get any gifts!’ I just feel like a better gift would be a life memory. I’d rather invest [in that than in] a doll house or something.

For ‘Batman Forever’ star Drew Barrymore, home is a place of absolute comfort. The 47-year-old actress – who is currently single but has daughters, Frankie, eight, and Olive, nine, with her ex-husband Will Kopelman – explained that when she is home alone, she finds it “very liberating” to walk around in the nude, reported Female First UK.
Speaking on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, she said: “I have to say, if I get a moment alone in my apartment and my kids have gone to their dad’s or there’s no one around, I’ll lock all the doors and I’ll walk around naked. It just feels like the most liberating act I can do.”
Meanwhile, the ’50 First Dates’ star previously claimed that she could “go years” without having sex and more recently explained that she has “very different feelings about intimacy” now than she did when she was much younger.

Los Angeles, Feb 24: Hollywood star Drew Barrymore was admitted to a psychiatric ward as a teenager when she went out of control. She recalls the time she spent in a padded room.
Drew's mother, Jaid Barrymore had her admitted to a facility when she was 13 because she had "too many resources" and her behaviour was getting out of control.
"I used to laugh at those like Malibu 30 day places. Malibu was sort of the opposite of the experience I had. I was in a place for a year and a half called Van Eyes Psychiatric. And you couldn't mess around in there and if you did, you would get thrown either in a padded room or get put in stretcher restraints, and tied up," Drew told SiriusXM DJ Howard Stern, according to a femalefirst.co.uk report.
