With David Harewood's "Homeland" character done on the Showtime drama, the man formerly known as David Estes has found a new television home. He's joined David Milch's new HBO pilot, known as "The Money."
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news. According to the site, Harewood will play Kurt Corbitt in the new drama, a character described as "a grandiose, boisterous, irascible ideologue and the CEO of the parent company to [the main character's] holdings."
Playing the show's lead is Brendan Gleeson, who will portray a "powerful media mogul who wields power and influence to expand his empire and control his family" named James Castman. Meanwhile Nathan Lane plays Gordon, "a reporter for VistaCorp's New York Herald who is desperate to garner evidence for a hot story."
Before "The Money," Milch created the HBO series "Luck." The network pulled the plug on the show in 2012 after three horses died on set.
