Andrea Deveau(I)

Andrea is an actress, known for Trudeau 11 (2005), Haunted by the Void (2020), The Sinner (2021), Diggstown (2021), Turnbuckles pilot (2022), Sullivan's Crossing (2023 and 2024), Sugar Highs (2023), Love on Christmas Island (2023), and Sharp Corner (2024).
She joined workshops in Acting and Modelling in 1986. Had her first audition at age 18 for an all girl's music band. In 2018 and 2019, she took workshops again in voice-over and on-camera acting.
Early 20's, she joined Halifax Dance for a number of years. In her 30's she performed in Jazz, Lindy Hop and Hip Hop in Jazz Bliss Festivals. At that time, she was also a dancer at Shake It Dance Studio performing at various locations such as the Fringe Festival and at the Halifax Waterfront in Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Bachata, and Rheuda. She also tried Tango, Jive, Flamenco and Pole dancing, briefly.
She practiced ballroom dancing with a dance partner for a competition years later, but then decided she didn't want to compete and backed out, stating, "competition for me takes the fun out of dancing".
She was on Breakfast Television in 2004 with Shake It Dance Studio's dance troupe.
Studied Medical Terminology.
In 2005, she choreographed a dance piece for a University Student for her class project.
In 2007, during College, she had a second audition for a commercial.
In 2011 to 2014, Andrea participated in Bust a Move for Breast Health. She helped raise funding for the IWK Health Centre to help purchase technology advancements and equipment. Bust a Move was a 6-hour workout broken down into 6 fitness sessions including Yoga and Zumba at the Canada Games Centre.
In 2020, she started acting in short films (speaking roles), student films, in television shows and movies as a background performer. She also acted in a dinner theatre - murder mystery; posing as a palm reader who later gets poisoned and dies.
She kept up with physical activity by taking dance classes along with Archery.
Andrea's ancestry includes English, Metis (Mi'kmaq), French, German and Dutch.
