He-Man and Thundercats were two of the greatest things to come out of the '80s! I used to have a bunch of actions figures for each of them that I would create my own crossover adventures. Well, now it’s happening for real! DC Comics is launching a crossover comic series that will feature the popular toy and cartoon franchises together for the first time!
He-Man/Thundercats will be a six-issue limited series that will be penned by Mattel Head Writer and Masters of the Universe Lead Creative Rob David and Supervising Producer Lloyd Goldfine with art by Freddie E. Williams II, who recently worked on the Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover comic.
Thanks to Cbr, we have a plot description that gives some info on what to expect:

Kevin Eastman recently reached out to the Tmnt community and asked if there was anything from the long-running animated series that they would like to see in the new movie. Peter, you weren't a huge fan of the 80's animated series, but if you had to take a few elements from that show and apply it to a new live-action film, which would they be?" If you are talking about elements of that show As They Were Used In The Show, I would say "nothing." If you had control on a live-action Turtles' film, who would be your choice to direct? Steve Barron… though I am sure there are any number of directors who could do it justice. Actually, I think Lloyd Goldfine (from the 4Kids Tmnt series) might be a good choice. Bleeding Cool is reporting a rumor that the working title of the new film is "Ninja Turtles.

Turtles Forever Directed by: Roy Burdine and Lloyd Goldfine Written by: Robert David, Matthew Drdek, Lloyd Goldfine Starring: Michael Sinterniklaas, Wayne Grayson, Sam Riegel, Gregory Abbey, Darren Dunstan, Marc Thompson, Veronica Taylor The times they are a changin'. Nowadays, even Michaelangelo is irritated by the grinning, pun-happy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of old. Sure, it may be a slap in the face to fans of the older series they grew up with, but Turtles Forever is just fan service topped with fan service with a side order of fan service. The concept is nothing short of brilliant, having multiple generations of the Ninja Turtles meet in their own dimensions via portals. The movie features three groups of Turtles: the recent '03 series, the original '90s cartoon, and the comic book source material. It's how these three intertwine that makes this work. What used to make total sense back in...
