Earlier this year, Switchfoot took a cue from Taylor Swift and put out what they called “our version” of their 2003 album, The Beautiful Letdown. Now they’re expanding it into a deluxe edition filled with cover versions by the Jonas Brothers, Ryan Tedder, Owl City, and Tyler Joseph from Twenty One Pilots, among others. “To hear our friends and heroes singing these songs of ours — such legendary voices, such amazing talent — it’s truly a wonderful, strange gift,” Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman said in a statement.
The deluxe edition will come out on Sept.

Dynamic mother-daughter and best friend duo Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) return in “Ginny & Georgia” Season 2, which gets even more chaotic than the already very complex first season of the Netflix show. Another of Georgia’s past loves enters the mix, she commits some more questionable actions and many other twists and turns develop within the 10 hour-long episodes.
Ginny and her friends are no strangers to the TikTok scene, so some song choices reflect Gen Z’s poppy preferences. The show is also not afraid to explore both the high, happy feelings of life as well as the deeper, darker, lower ones, and it does so sonically with some beautiful choices. Felix Mallard chose a song for an important scene of his, and actress Brianne Howey easily chose a song to embody her character Georgia.

A huge part of the appeal of “The Masked Singer” is trying to figure out which famous faces are hidden beneath those masks. Season 7 of this reality competition series promises to be the toughest to date with a whopping 16 celebrities hidden inside 15 costumes.
The first five contestants who performed for the four judges were disguised as Cyclops, Firefly, McTerrier, Ram and Thingamabob. McTerrier was unmasked at the end of the premiere on March 9 and turned out to be Food Network star Duff Goldman.
The other four contestants returned to sing on the March 16 for their place in the Round 1 final on March 23. Of this quartet, the one whose real name we are having the hardest time figuring out is Cyclops. Before he sang we thought it was Jack Black. But now that we’ve seen him perform “My Sacrifice” by Creed and “Suspicious Minds” by Elvis Presley we think we’ve cracked it.

With so many of us staying safe and staying home, we may be finding ourselves with an abundance of screen time compared to our normal lives. If you’re looking for some ideas of what to watch with your kids (that won’t drive you crazy), you can try some of these movies on Netflix.
Incredibles 2 (2018) – U.S. Only
The Incredibles has long been one of my favorite superhero movies (and I love superhero movies). I was worried that when the sequel came out that it wouldn’t live up to my expectations, but it managed to surpass them, sticking with the Parr family through both super and mundane problems. Good Omens went down a treat when it was released on Amazon Prime Video back in May, with the apocalyptic comedy-drama earning rave reviews and high viewing figures for the streaming service. Something that’s often overlooked about the six-part miniseries, though, is that it’s a co-production between Amazon and BBC Studios. And it’s overlooked because the show has yet to arrive on the British television network. But that’s about to change this January.
The BBC has announced that Good Omens will finally land on BBC Two in mid-January, nine months in total since it’s been available online. The series was originally due to air on the channel sometime in 2019, but ended up being delayed due to unknown reasons. But, at last, UK fans can catch it when it premieres Wednesday, January 15th. Episodes will then presumably air weekly from then on.

‘at the Coliseum de Luxe.’
When producer/director Anthony Buckley and co-producer/researcher Les Tod began researching a book on one of Sydney’s grand picture palaces, they faced one big problem: There are no photographs of the original building which was destroyed by fire.
So they teamed up with Paul Brennan’s Ptb Screen, business partner John Laycock and videogame designer Adam Young for a 3D recreation of the Coliseum de Luxe in Miller Street North Sydney, based on original sketch of the façade by Joe Kethel.
The result is at the Coliseum de Luxe, a feature documentary which spans 150 years of Australian entertainment, some of the entrepreneurs who created grand buildings and the women who fought to protect and restore them.
Narrated by Bruce Beresford with a commentary by sound mixer Peter Fenton, the film will premiere at the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace on Sunday November 3, presented by Buckley and Beresford.

Good Omens, which became one of Amazon Prime Video’s front-rank shows when it premiered last May, will continue on the streaming service if the executive team has any say in it.
“We’re lucky to have an ongoing relationship with Neil” Gaiman, the series co-creator, Amazon’s TV co-head Vernon Sanders said during Saturday’s TCA executive session. “We’re so excited about how Season 1 has done for us. The notion has come up about whether we can revisit that world. It’s in Neil’s hands now but we’d love to do it. We’re finding that it just takes a little time, perhaps, in the case of Neil. But whatever he wants to do, we’re interested in.”
Gaiman and late co-author Terry Pratchett’s 1990 book, Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, was the basis of the show’s debut season.

So with the ultimate crisis averted in Good Omens, what does the ending mean for all of the characters involved?
This article contains spoilers for the ending of Good Omens.
Although most of us went into our viewing of Good Omens knowing that Crowley the demon and Aziraphale the angel would be seeking to avoid Armageddon, it has now become clear that the end times were halted despite their actions rather than because of their intervention. Sure, Crowley may have made the fateful error that put Adam Young on his unconventional path, but that wasn’t his own devious plan; it just happened… perhaps according to an ineffable plan. So what can we conclude about the final events of the six-part miniseries?
It was, of course, the Antichrist himself who held all the cards, able to shape the world to his own beliefs, and the Four Horsemen...

This Good Omens review is spoiler free.
Reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and the late, great Terry Pratchett before watching the six-episode miniseries on Amazon Prime Video is certainly not required, but those who have enjoyed the 1990 novel will be wide-eyed with wonder at the “Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch” come to life on the screen on May 31, 2019. From beginning to end, the humorous story of an angel and a demon working to avoid the end times brought on by the birth of the Antichrist remains true to the uniquely British voice of its authors, feeling like a hybrid of Pratchett’s Discworld and Gaiman’s American Gods with a pinch of Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy thrown in for good measure.

The end is nigh and the world’s only hope of survival is the unlikely duo of an angel and a demon. That’s the premise of Good Omens, Neil Gaiman’s upcoming BBC/Amazon co-production that’s based off the classic comedy fantasy novel by himself and the late, great Sir Terry Pratchett.
If you’ve read the cult classic, you’ll know that one-line summary is just the tip of the iceberg of a very weird, imaginative story and, if this latest promo for the show is anything to go by, the upcoming series won’t be diluting the off-the-wall tone of the book one bit. Suffice it to say, if you’ve ever wanted to see David Tennant dress up as a nanny from hell, you’re in luck.

Owl City isn’t really a band as much as it is just one individual that came up with the idea to make music and has managed to do just that in a way that a lot of people saw as great and even worth listening to more than once. The trick about it is though that Owl City was a great sound when Adam Young first came out with it but then it kind of seemed to sink back into the industry, almost disappearing it felt like only to reappear now and again like a shy kid that speaks up

At least one of the characters in Broadway’s Mean Girls would describe this musical adaptation of Tina Fey’s 2004 not-for-teens-only film comedy as absolutely fetch. And fetch it is, whether that word ever happens or not.
Vibrant, beautifully sung and visually splendid, this funny charmer – book by Fey, music by Jeff Richmond and lyrics by Nell Benjamin – broadens the original Paramount movie – a bar-raiser for teen flicks – to full musical comedy scale without sacrificing any of the mordancy and compassion that made a superstar of Lindsay Lohan and a generational descriptor of the title.
Directed and choreographed by The Book of Mormon‘s Casey Nicholaw (and produced by, among others, Lorne Michaels, who surveyed this preview performance with the same inscrutable, puckered expression caught occasionally by the cameras of Saturday Night Live) Mean Girls, at the August Wilson Theatre, stays true to the plot (and well-remembered jokes and catchphrases...

I really don't put much stock in the International Animated Film Society's 2013 Annie Awards, which is why I didn't rush to report on their results on Saturday. One year Disney and Pixar boycott the event, feeling there was an unfair advantage paid to larger contributing sponsors, DreamWorks being the primary example. So with such a nasty stench over the event what good does it do to pay it much mind? That said, I'll be brief in mentioning Wreck-It Ralph topped Saturday night's winners with five awards, including Best Animated Picture. The awards have something like a 75% streak when it comes to helping predict the eventual Oscar winner for Best Animated Feature and as the days have gone on, it's looking more and more like Ralph will be this year's winner (see my predictions here). Pixar's Brave, Laika's ParaNorman and DreamWorks' Rise of the Guardians each took home two awards in lesser,...

The time-traveling DeLorean of "Back to the Future" fame is ready for its close up, because the sports car extraordinaire is racing across screens once again — in Owl City's new music video for "Deer in the Headlights."
This time, it's crooner Adam Young behind the wheel, who manages not only master his lyrics, but the flux capacitor and time travel controls as well. And yes, he does hit that crucial 88 miles per hour.
The aptly-titled video opens with the DeLorean blinking its (rather dated) headlights at Young… could it be flirting?
Young also skateboards, à la Marty McFly, and encounters… some floating jellyfish and, er, a giant dinosaur? Ok, those might not be derived from the original flick, but we're loving them just the same.
But don't take our word for how heck out this time mash-up for yourself, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, and see how great life (and...

In this clip, Adam Young ditches his skateboard and hops a DeLorean from 1985 movie "Back to the Future". He drives it in a speed light and makes a stop at a convenience store. In his dream-state mind, he runs into a beautiful girl only to realize that he's staring at a bearded man in turban.
"It's a quirky video for a cheeky song that quips, 'Why are we in love if it's for all the wrong reasons?' " he explained the concept of the video. "The song is about fending off the blinding light of superficial fluff relationships and saying, 'Thanks, but I'd rather be alone and thus avoid a million shallow heartbreaks until I meet the girl of my dreams.' "

Adam Young, aka Owl City, goes back to the future for his trippy video for “Deer in the Headlights, “ the current single from his new album, “All Things Bright and Beautiful.” When a Delorean magically appears while he’s skateboarding, Oc has no choice but to climb, in. Wouldn’t you? Sadly, there’s no Doc or Marty, but there is a stop at the Quickie Mart--or equivalent--where his eyes are constantly playing tricks on him or maybe he’s just landed in Area 51. [More after the jump...] Deer and a beautiful girl (played by Lights) show up and disappear. As he travels...

Remember, on Valentine's Day, when Owl City's Adam Young melted even the coldest, blackest hearts with his public declaration of affection for Taylor Swift? For lack of a better term... we totally 'shipped it.
We couldn't help but be bummed when Swifty didn't respond in kind... at least not publicly. Now, for the first time, Young has spoken up about their musical flirtation. Swift actually started it with her song "Enchanted," which was about Young.
"I met her in New York and she came to one of my shows and after the show I was backstage in the green room and she was on her way up to meet me and that was the most nerve-racking few minutes of my life just waiting to meet Taylor Swift," he remembers in an interview with Us. "When I met her she was glowing and I was too. It's hard to put into words,...

It’s forgivable to anticipate Owl City’s Adam Young might change up his sound a bit on All Things Bright And Beautiful, just to get people off his back about being a Postal Service rip-off. But while the cool-kid camp is busy complaining about the blatant theft, Young is enjoying fame, fortune, and Taylor Swift’s attention. By sticking to what got him here, Young has pulled off a little trick: Instead of immediately bringing to mind The Postal Service on All Things Bright And Beautiful, now he just sounds like Owl City, i.e. a watered-down yet glossier ...

Owl City singer Adam Young has revealed that Taylor Swift has yet to respond to his Valentine's gift to her. Adam Young sent the country singer a version of her track 'Enchanted' on February 14 after concluding that the song was about him. The original track, which appears on Swift's 2010 album Speak Now, was reportedly inspired by the pair's first meeting in New York. Swift also capitalised the letters 'Adam' in the CD's lyric booklet. The 'Fireflies' (more)...

Big Boi seems to be seems to be hard at work on everything but a new Outkast album, but that's fine by us: Immaculate Noise is proud to present one of his latest projects. As previously reported, the rapper let it slip in one of his interviews that he was in the studio recently with none other than Minnesotan singer-songwriter Owl City, aka Adam Young. Then there was silence, and it was indicated that whatever recording trickled out of the collaboration would not end up on Owl City's next set, "All Things Bright and Beautiful," due June 14. Last month, the "Fireflies"...

Adam Young says he learned to live with 'positive pressure' to make follow-up to his breakout Ocean Eyes album.

The story of Adam Young's rise from basement-dwelling Coca-Cola employee to platinum-selling dream-tronica star is well-documented by now, mostly because it's the kind of thing you only read about in books.
Thanks to the success of his Ocean Eyes album (and the hit single "Fireflies"), Young — who, as you probably know by now, records under the name Owl City — topped the charts, toured the world and even moved out of his parents' basement (success!). And, on June 14, he'll return with All Things Bright and Beautiful, the next chapter in his rather improbable story. But with his new album also comes new expectations — because, for the first time in his career, people are paying close attention.

Owl City's new single "Alligator Sky" has got an official music video. It features Adam Young and his featured guest Shawn Chrystopher wearing an astronaut-like outfit and roaming empty streets of what looks like an abandoned town. They bid farewell to earth before launching into the sky in a spacecraft.
"Alligator Sky" is taken from Owl City's upcoming studio album "All Things Bright and Beautiful" which is coming out in the U.S. on June 14. There are three versions of the song; one is a solo track, another features Shawn, and the other has B.o.B on it.
Talking about his move in injecting hip-hop vibes in it, Adam once said, "I'm a big fan of the way hip-hop music is put together and everything that goes into it -- being so beat-heavy and just focusing on the rhythm side of it, sometimes more than melody."

In this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at "Alligator Sky," the dreamy, optimistic single off the upcoming All Things Bright and Beautiful, Young suits up to blast off from Earth (or at least a studio backlot) into the great beyond. Joined here by L.A. rapper Shawn Chrystopher, the song is an update on the charms of Ocean Eyes, Owl City's 2009 debut. Clad in a steampunk spacesuit and a big goldfish bowl helmet, Young captures the delight and wonder of the song as well as the mysteries of life here and through the galaxy. Plus, it's a rare chance to get to hear the shy frontman talk about his music, making...

HollywoodNews.com: Taylor Swift reportedly wrote a song about Adam Young from Owl City and he responded on Valentine’s Day, but it sounds like his crush is still ongoing.
Young recently revealed that he was shy in responding but was happy to have the chance, states BSCkids. However, he also revealed that Swift never responded to his side of it.
And although she didn’t say anything back, he still has a special spot for her: “And now that I step back and look around at who else is out there, she’s really the only one who comes to mind.”
Do you think these two should date?

I have said it before, and I will once more: there are two Zack Snyders. One is an accomplished “big film” maker, able to traverse genres easily and apply his visually arresting stylistic modus operandi to any subject he sees fit. The other is a brash, immature “artist” whose inability to curb his enthusiasm for all things hyperbolic spoils sequences of his films (if not the entire thing as in the case of Sucker Punch). The director suffers from creative split personalities.
That’s why my initial surprise to see Snyder’s name attached to this children’s book adaptation eventually gave way, to be replaced by excitement at the prospect of what he could produce when afforded the artistically and imaginatively liberating medium of animation, given how animation-esque his live-action films have so far been. If there’s one thing he knows, it is how to make something look impressive,...

Is there a new subject for Taylor Swift's next album? The country darling has been spotted with Garrett Hedlund, having a low-key dinner in Nashville earlier this month. It was reportedly the first time out for Swift and the "Country Strong" actor, but the two have "been e-mailing for a while, and she hinted that they should get together," says a source. "He's cute -- and he's into country music! [She] likes that he's a normal guy." But what about Adam Young?! Poor guy. [Us Magazine]

Things are looking "Bright and Beautiful" for Owl City's future. The pop act, helmed by Adam Young, has announced its next album, "All Things Bright and Beautiful," due May 17 via Universal Republic. Young collaborated with engineer Jack Joseph Puig (Beck, Green Day, John Mayer) to produce the set, recorded out of the singer-songwriter's own Sky Harbor Studios in hometown Owatonna, Minn. "Bright and Beautiful" is the official follow-up to Owl City's 2009 album "Ocean Eyes," though Young released some stripped-down recordings last year, "An Airplane Carried Me to Bed," under the Sky Sailing moniker. He also has released ambient instrumental...
