Action thriller Little Dixie from US director John Swab is one of four world premieres announced as part of the Harbour strand for the 52nd edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
Little Dixie follows an ex-Special Forces Operative trying to negotiate a deal with the Mexican drug cartel while protecting his young daughter. The cast includes Frank Grillo, Eric Dane and Annabeth Gish. It is produced by Roxwell Films.

With over 50+ films, Camera Japan Festival is proud to announce their full and diverse programme, combining films ranging from de newest and best Japanese arthouse, animation, documentaries, short films and classic cinema.
The 17th edition of the festival will be opened at LantarenVenster on September 22nd with the international premiere of Koumei’s Spotlight,
with the director and leading actor Morimoto Nobuhiro present. From 29 Sept. – 2 October, the festival moves to Amsterdam’s LAB111.
With four international and twelve European premieres, the festival consists of a special and exclusive programme. Films such as Spotlight, Nagi’s Island, Prior Convictions and Thanc You, will have their first screenings outside of Japan here at Camera Japan Festival. Among the many Dutch premieres titles from directors such as Miike Takashi (The Great Yokai War: Guardians) and Odagiri Joe (They Say Nothing Stays the Same) will be shown.
As usual, animation films will be present at Camera Japan Festival.

2022 brings Far East Film back to its historical dimension. The Feff is once again what it has always been since 1999, but it also carries the imprint of all the latest changes: it is an augmented festival, more inclusive, and even more curious. Japan’s oldest continuously operated studio, Nikkatsu is bringing Matsui Daigo’s “Just Remembering,” a romantic drama selected for the TIFF competition. Ito Sairi and Ikematsu Soksuke star as a couple on the verge of a break-up who reminisce about better days. Matsui’s original script was inspired by the Jim Jarmusch classic “Night on the Planet.”
Also, on offer is the other Japanese competition title, “Third Time Lucky.” The film is the directorial debut of Nohara Tadashi, a scriptwriter whose credits include Hamaguchi Ryusuke’s 2015 ensemble drama “Happy Hour” and Kurosawa Kiyoshi’s WWII thriller “Wife of a Spy.” Kawamura Rira, who also appeared in “Happy Hour,” stars as...
