San Francisco, March 13 (Ians) Ride-hailing platforms Uber and Lyft have announced to share data on drivers banned for sexual or physical assaults.
Both the companies have launched the Industry Sharing Safety Programme , a first-of-its-kind effort to share information about the drivers and delivery people deactivated from each company's platform.
Lyft and Uber will share information about driver deactivations related to the five most critical safety issues within the National Sexual Violence Resource Center's (Nsvrc) sexual misconduct and sexual violence taxonomy, along with physical assault fatalities.
"Tackling these tough safety issues is bigger than any one of us and this new Industry Sharing Safety Program demonstrates the value of working collaboratively with experts, advocates and others to make a meaningful difference. We encourage more companies to join us," said Tony West, senior vice president and chief legal officer at Uber.
The information sharing will be administered by HireRight, an industry-leading workforce...

"There she is, guys - the most godforsaken castle in all of Mexico." Rlje Films has released a new official Us trailer for the indie horror comedy DeadTectives, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Tony West. This first premiered at the Sitges Film Festival in 2018, and it also played at Mexico's Morbido Film Fest, Fantasporto, and the Seattle Film Festival. A team of reality TV ghost hunters experience true paranormal activity for the first time while filming a make-or-break episode in the most haunted mansion in Mexico. Facing cancellation on the one hand and supernatural entities on the other, the team must figure out a way to bust the ghosts, deliver the episode of a lifetime, and escape with their lives intact. Starring Chris Geere, David Newman, José María de Tavira, and Tina Ivlev. Cool concept, but this looks so impressively bad. And why is this trailer so dark?...

Over the years we’ve had a ton of horror films that take the tropes of the TV “ghost hunter” show and use them to tell a terrifying tale. Although, for me, many of these films didn’t really work as a) they were often as schlocky as the shows they mirrored; and b) a Lot of them used the confines of found-footage, behind the camera views to tell their story. And I personally Hate the found-footage format!
However there seems to be a current tread for genre films to not only use the ghost-hunting format to tell a scary story but also to parody the trope as well. Recently we had Hoarders, which poked...
