Recently, Amazon Prime introduced a new series that promises to be full of laughs, drama, and adventures. In The Goat, previous relative stars from multiple shows will compete for the title of “Greatest Of All Time Reality TV Star.”
Goat Coming To Prime
Markedly, Prime Video is bringing a new series that will crown The Goat Reality TV star. Notably, it looks like the crossover that reality TV has been missing. Coupled with challenges and alliances, the host Daniel Tosh jokes the contestants will have to put their “strength and lack of life skills” to the test to face off for the title. Undeniably, the show is packed with a reality star-studded cast from The Bachelor, Love Is Blind, Big Brother, Real Housewives, and many more popular shows. Each of the fourteen contestants will compete to be named the best reality star and of course, walk away with a $200,000 prize.

Republicans are trying to spin the Biden impeachment inquiry forward after an hours-long deposition with his son Hunter Biden on Wednesday. It’s proving difficult, as the closed-door hearing doesn’t seem to have yielded many revelatory details.
Some Republicans are even conceding that Biden performed well under questioning. “I think when the transcript comes out, it’s gonna read well for him, because they did a great job prepping,” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) told Fox News host Harris Faulkner Thursday.

When The New Yorker first published Shirley Jackson’s “The Lottery” in June of 1948, the short story was met with confusion and disgust. To this day, apparently the magazine still hasn’t received that much mail over a work of fiction. Regardless of those early negative reviews, though, this shock tale has since gone on to become ingrained in the public consciousness. Everyone remembers their immediate reaction upon reading about a deceptively quaint village where the locals conduct the most heinous ritual every year.
Despite its widespread recognition, “The Lottery” has received only a few screen adaptations over the years. The earliest was in Cameo Theatre, a long lost 1950s anthology series notable for its minimalistic production design. Then there was Larry Yust’s ‘69 short-film; this piece of kindertrauma captures the source material’s unmatched ability to go from casual to ghastly in mere seconds.

Tim Robbins thought he’d come up with a timely idea for a new comedy.
The subject of his new satire would be an unhinged billionaire-turned-president who uses the Oval Office to sow racism and division. Robbins’ film would focus on his struggles to maintain his grip on power during a tumultuous year in which he faces an uphill climb to re-election. Parallels to Donald J. Trump are obvious and intended, Robbins says.
“It’s definitely Trump,” he told Variety. “But it’s the Trump behind the scenes — the one from the unsourced reports of him belittling aides and behaving in an even more narcissistic fashion.”
Initially, Robbins reached out to “The Big Short” writer and director Adam McKay about lining up financing for the feature film. But the pandemic upended those plans, making it nearly impossible to secure backing and complete the film by Election Day on Nov. 4. That...

No one knows Middle-earth quite like Peter Jackson does, so it’s not hard to see why Amazon Studios was interested in roping the Kiwi director in for their lavish Lord of the Rings TV series.
The award winning filmmaker has already gone on record though to say that he’s happy that he’s no longer tied up with Middle-earth and all of its many characters and storylines. And, frankly, after putting together six fantasy blockbusters based on Tolkien’s work, you can hardly blame him.
But even without Jackson’s involvement, Amazon has still managed to assemble quite an impressive creative team for the series, from Game of Thrones producers and writers to folks who worked on major motion pictures like The Last Jedi and The Aviator. Suffice it to say, it’s an impressive roster of talent, and you can find the complete list, along with a brief promo teasing their roles,...

Amazon’s “The Lord of the Rings” TV series has set its fellowship — er, creative and producing teams, for its adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s work, led by showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, the studio said during the Television Critics Association press tour Saturday.
Set in Middle-earth during the Second Age, the small-screen adaptation will explore new storylines preceding Tolkien’s “The Fellowship of the Ring.” Amazon Studios has a multi-season commitment for the show, and the deal also includes a potential spinoff series.
The team who will be creating the “Lotr” TV series includes: executive producers Lindsey Weber (“10 Cloverfield Lane”), Bruce Richmond (“Game of Thrones”), Gene Kelly (“Boardwalk Empire”) and Sharon Tal Yguado; writer/executive producer Gennifer Hutchison (“Breaking Bad”); writer/executive producer Jason Cahill (“The Sopranos”) writer/executive producer Justin Doble (“Stranger Things”); consulting producers Bryan Cogman (“Game of Thrones”) and Stephany Folsom (“Toy Story 4...

Exclusive: Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment has forged a production partnership with The Vampire Diaries alum Paul Wesley and his company Citizen Media.
The first two series projects Kapital and Citizen are rolling out together are a drama based on Jason Smith’s non-fiction article Confessions Of a Drug-Addicted High School Teacher, with Wesley attached to star and David Slade (Black Mirror) to direct, and supernatural crime drama Possessed, based on a Korean format.
Under the pact, Kapital will work with Wesley to build his company and its footprint in the market. The Kapital team and Wesley will jointly develop content for Wesley to produce. It will be aimed at broadcast, cable and streaming. Some — but not all — of the projects will be intended as starring vehicles for Wesley who recently co-starred on Kapital’s CBS All Access series Tell Me a Story.

Jon Favreau’s live-action Star Wars TV show begins shooting in South California soon and these shots of the set indicate that at least some of the action will take place on the desert planet of Tatooine.
For those who don’t know, Tatooine’s a key part of the Star Wars mythology being the home of the Skywalkers, who went on to have a large impact on the galaxy. Not to mention its iconic dunes, Jawas, Tusken Raiders and Banthas play a large role in the public image of the franchise. Despite that, the Disney Star Wars movies haven’t ventured there yet (though there are those who convincingly argue that Jakku’s merely Tatooine under a different name).
While it’s not conclusively Tatooine, the scenery you’ll see in the gallery down below is extremely reminiscent of what we’ve seen in The Phantom Menace, A New...

The Academy’s 90th Sci-Tech Awards Saturday at the Beverly Wilshire (hosted by Sir Patrick Stewart) was dominated by the integral animation and visual effects software that powers the industry’s CG characters, simulations, and compositing. Digital Domain, DreamWorks, Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar, and Rhythm & Hues were among the 10 standout honorees.
In addition, visual effects technologist Jonathan Erland received the Gordon E. Sawyer Award (an Oscar statuette) for his technological contributions. Erland worked at Ilm as a model builder for “Star Wars” in 1977 and later moved over to Apogee to work on “Star Trek: The Motion Picture.” He eventually became director of R&D for Apogee, where he received patents for a reverse blue-screen traveling matte process, the Blue-Max flux projector, and a method for making front projection screens.
Erland also played a key role in establishing a separate visual effects Academy branch in 1995. He received the Academy’s John A.
