Popflex is one of the biggest brands to emerge from the brain of a YouTube creator—and founder Cassey Ho (aka Blogilates) is now shipping out more orders than ever, thanks to Taylor Swift.
Ho, who has nearly 10 million subscribers on YouTube, has been uploading fitness content to the platform since 2009, and in 2016 launched Popflex, her own line of activewear.
Now, Ho’s brand has gotten a new push of popularity after Swift wore the Popflex Pirouette Skort during a video released as part of the promotion for her new album, The Tortured Poets Department. In the video, Swift is briefly seen on a pickleball court, swinging a racket while wearing the lavender version of Ho’s skort.
That video debuted April 19, and the skort gets a total of about 3 seconds of onscreen time. Those 3 seconds were all it needed: Within 15 minutes of Swift’s vid going live, Popflex had...

This article contains spoilers through Stranger Things season 4 and The Walking Dead.
To kill or not to kill? This is the question so many shows with large ensemble casts wrestle with as the tensions rise and the stakes become fatal deeper into the series. The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones took great pleasure in cutting down leading players like blades of grass in the springtime sun. It kept viewers on their toes, but it also hindered the strength of the respective casts. When too many fan favorites are whacked, it tests the loyalty of the people watching at home and the skills of the writers and directors to form a coherent story with the crumbs that remain.
Stranger Things weighs in on the other end of the spectrum. The Duffer Brothers have kept essentially every cherished character locked into the show from the debut season to the most recent one.

We’re only just starting spring, but Flo Milli is ready to take the summer with her latest album, Fine Ho, Stay. The Alabama native (whose real name is Tamia Monique Carter) has already become one of the most exciting new voices in hip-hop, building a growing fanbase by delivering cut-throat lyrics while maintaining a graceful and fashionable persona. Fine Ho, Stay serves as the final — and arguably the best — album in a trilogy of LPs that started in 2020 with Ho, Why Is You Here? (which featured the breakout song...

It’s been six years since Parasite took the cinema world by storm and changed the landscape for Western films in general. The Bong Joon Ho movie became the first foreign film to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards. It beat out the likes of Joker, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, and 1917. Parasite is about a low-class family who forms a symbiotic relationship with the wealthy Park family. However, that relationship is threatened when greed and class discrimination challenge the values of both families. Bong Joon Ho has been a strong filmmaker for decades now. Mother, Memories of Murder, and...

“Oppenheimer” took home an impressive seven Academy Awards at Sunday’s Oscars, including the night’s top prize of Best Picture. The Universal movie also won Best Director for Christopher Nolan and Best Actor for Cillian Murphy amongst a number of other awards. That is one below the total of eight wins we predicted for the film as “The Zone of Interest” beat the movie to win Best Sound. However, seven is still a huge tally and places “Oppenheimer” amongst the Best Picture winners to take home the highest amount of Oscars this century. Scroll down below for a complete list of every Best Picture winner this century ranked by total Oscar wins.

Taiwanese films are like a box of chocolate; you never know what you’re gonna get! Lost in Perfection is a slow burner that goes from exploring the latent ennui of a young urban woman stuck in a dead relationship to morphing into a black comedy dealing with an ‘unattractive femme fatale’ and finally turning into a revenge drama. All these segments are so nicely weaved together that uninteresting moments seldom arrive. The film with its three-word title feels like a slightly more accessible cousin of Decision to Leave, with its pacing and exploration of characters, at least in the beginning. It is only later on that the film picks up the pace and plunges us into an absurd plot, which might not be enjoyed by many, but if they can avoid the nitpicking, Lost in Perfection is a tale worthy of being heard.

Back when we heard that Georgina Campbell was starring in the psychological horror film Lovely, Dark, and Deep, she was best known for winning a BAFTA TV leading actress award for her role in the 2014 TV movie Murdered by My Boyfriend. Since then, we’ve seen her name around here quite a lot, due to her roles in films like All My Friends Hate Me, Barbarian, Bird Box: Barcelona, T.I.M., and the upcoming The Watchers, Cold Storage, and Psycho Killer. As for Lovely, Dark, and Deep, it’s set to receive a VOD release on February 22nd, and we have the trailer embedded below.

Slow Horses is back with its much-awaited third season, and I am happy to say that it is even better than what came before. The Gary Oldman dark comedy-drama has to be one of the best TV shows in the entire world, but sadly it is still not getting the attention it deserves.
Based on the third novel of the Slough House book series titled Real Tigers by Mick Herron, the new season starts in Istanbul with Alison Dunn (Katherine Waterston), an MI5 agent, and Sean Donovan (Sope Dirisu), head of security. The relationship between these two sets up the events for the upcoming episodes and while we don’t see the Slow Horses in the opening scene, they get caught up in this new mess pretty soon.

As expected, the final episode built to a showdown between Flash Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Cobalt Blue (Rick Cosnett). But the really exciting part of the show came in its final seconds, when Barry told a story to his and Iris’s (Candice Patton) newborn daughter Nora, herself destined to become super-speedster Xs (Jessica Parker Kennedy...

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” swept the 2023 Oscars by winning seven Academy Awards. In that seven were six above-the-line awards, which is an Oscars record. Seven Oscars is also the most amount any film has won in a single year since “Gravity” also won seven in 2014. But that movie didn’t win Best Picture (“12 Years a Slave” did), so what about Best Picture winners only? Well, here’s every single Best Picture winner this century ranked by the number of Oscars it won.
“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” (2004) — 11 Oscars won
Dir: Peter Jackson
Starring: Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin
Gandalf and Aragorn lead the World of Men against Sauron’s army to draw his gaze from Frodo and Sam as they approach Mount Doom with the One Ring.

If artificial intelligence evangelists’ predictions pan out, generative AI systems like ChatGPT and Dall-e are set to transform Hollywood by developing and writing scripts for the next hit TV show, “diversifying” casts with AI-generated actors and generating imagery across multiple mediums, practically instantly, for a fraction of the cost of a real, human artist. But how long will it take for the vision to meet reality, and can a select group of companies — similar to the rise of Facebook and social media — be trusted to herald the way?
Driving much of the current conversation around AI innovation has been OpenAI, an AI research company with both non-profit and for-profit arms. Just four months after the formal launch of OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT, industry titans like Bill Gates were ready to hail artificial intelligence as the most revolutionary technology of our time since the advent of cell phones and the internet.

However cold you might feel this winter, rest assured it could be worse. How much worse? For the 16 “lone wolf” contestants signed up for the extreme survivalist competition series Outlast, it gets dropped-into-the-Alaska-wilderness cold. On Netflix’s latest competition series, these hearty challengers seek to outlast one another through weeks in the wild, hoping for a million-dollar prize. There is, however, one twist. (Credit: Courtesy of Netflix) “Their only rule,” says executive producer Emma Ho, “is they have to be a part of a team if they want to win.” And that team doesn’t need to be the one they started with. Cue the backstabbing and sabotage. “It very quickly turns into Lord of the Flies/Hunger Games,” says Ho. With varying levels of experience and few supplies available in one of the harshest environments on the planet, players need to find food in the snowy terrain, while occasionally being pelted with freezing rain.

Warner Bros. Discovery will be releasing “Mickey 17,” an original sci-fi melodrama from Bong Joon Ho, on March 29, 2024.
The next feature from the filmmaker of “Parasite,” which became the first non-English-language film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2020, stars Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo. It is produced by Dooho Choi, Boon Joon Ho, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner.
While no official logline has been offered, the film is based on Edward Ashton’s novel “Mickey 7,” which concerns n expendable — and employee on a human expedition sent to colonize an ice world. After one version dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. The brief teaser offered below by Warner Bros. sees Robert Pattinson as, presumably, Mickey7 or Mickey19 being brought back/rebuilt/etc. after a fatal calamity. Watch a teaser for the film at the top of this post.

I confess, I don’t know as much of the work of the revered Johnnie To as I should. I remember seeing Election when it came out in UK cinemas, but I’m not sure that I’ve got round to anything else, so this latest set from Eureka should prove something of an education.

“Snowpiercer,” TNT’s TV adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s 2013 sci-fi climate catastrophe film of the same name, has halted production on its fourth and final season following extreme temperatures in Vancouver, Canada and the hospitalization of some crew members in the effort of being “extra cautious.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, production of Snowpiercer wrapped early yesterday and was suspended for today due to extreme heat on location. The health and well-being of show cast and crew remains top priority,” a Tomorrow Studios spokesperson said, adding that all of the people who were in the hospital had been discharged.
The series, based on the graphic novel “Le Transperceneige” by Jacques Lob, is set in a post-apocalyptic future where a botched attempt to stop global warming has inadvertently created another ice age. Humanity’s remnants are forced to live in a singular, class-divided train owned by transportation magnate Wilford...
