The Bat signal will burn brighter over the citizens of Gotham City this evening to honor the memory of Kevin Conroy, the beloved actor, writer, and voice of Batman. Diane Pershing announced Conroy’s passing, the voice of the DC character Poison Ivy, and publicist Gary Miereanu confirmed the sad news. Conroy passed after “a short battle with cancer,” according to Miereanu.
You can read Pershing’s heartfelt post about Mr. Conroy below:
Conroy starred in the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series from 1992-96 and continued wearing the cape and cowl through nearly 60 different productions spanning 15 films and 400 television episodes and video games. Recognized by millions as their favorite Batman actor, Conroy represented a generation of fans who patrolled the streets of Gotham City after school and were comforted to learn Conroy is a proud member of the LGBT community. The virtual WonderCon panel examining the forthcoming Justice Society: World War II ended a short while ago and can be watched below.
Headlining the panel discussion were actors Stana Katic as the voice of Wonder Woman, Matt Bomer as Barry Allen/The Flash, Elysia Rotaru (Arrow) as Black Canary, Omid Abtahi as Hawkman, Chris Diamantopoulos as Steve Trevor, Armen Taylor (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as Jay Garrick/The Flash, Liam McIntyre as Aquaman, and Geoff Arend as Charles Halstead/Advisor alongside director Jeff Wamester (Guardians of the Galaxy TV series), co-screenwriters Meghan Fitzmartin, and Jeremy Adams, and supervising producer Butch Lukic. Publicist Gary Miereanu moderated the festivities.
Surprised to find himself in World War II, but instinctively aware of his new role, The Flash (voiced by Matt Bomer) makes quick work of a platoon of Nazi soldiers terrorizing a war-torn village in this all-new clip from Justice Society: World War II.

Nycc 2017 brought a lot of news and trailers of our favorite current television shows and movies but news for a cartoon we all grew up with may have stolen the show!
Arguably, the greatest animated series DC and Warner Bros. ever created was Batman: The Animated Series. The series, which premiered in 1992, had an incredible cast of voice actors that included the iconic Kevin Conroy (Batman), Tara Strong (Batgirl), and Mark Hamill (The Joker). This Animated series was one of the best representations of the comics, at that time.
During Nycc 2017 Warner Bros. held a 25-year Anniversary panel, featuring some of the iconic cast re-living old memories and favorite moments from the series. However, the most shocking moment of the event was when Warners Bros. representative Gary Miereanu would hold up something he brought and making a shocking announcement that would cause the nostalgia muscle to flex, uncontrollably.

Even though we have 78 years of comics and a healthy amount of films featuring the Caped Crusader to look back on, there are many fans out there who feel that Batman: The Animated Series was the definitive portrayal of the character. And while I do appreciate many other versions, it’s hard to argue that point due to it retaining the spirit of the source material, while also building its own legacy. Not only that, but it also it was the first place where Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill voiced Batman and the Joker, respectively, whom have both since played those characters in a variety of other projects in the 25 years to follow.
So, if you fancy yourself as a lover of this series, then you, like me, probably own every episode on DVD. Still, there are those who’ve been clamoring for a Blu-ray upgrade for years, only to...

Last year, Warner Bros. treated us with the awesome Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, which saw the likes of Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar reprise their roles of Batman, Robin and Catwoman, respectively. Being essentially the beginning to a fourth season we never received, it surpassed expectations by retaining the feel of the classic 1960’s television series, while also featuring grandiose action scenes that could’ve never been accomplished on the budget of the show.
Having said that, we’re thrilled to see that its sequel, Batman vs. Two-Face, looks like it may be even better. In addition to the return of the aforementioned actors, expect William Shatner to lend his pipes to the dichotomous Harvey Dent, a character who never actually appeared on the TV show itself during its original run.
As for the rest of the major players, here goes: Jeff Bergman (Joker, Bookworm, Desmond Dumas), Sirena Irwin (Dr.

In today's Horror Highlights, we have a Q&A with The Gracefield Incident at Mathieu Ratthe, new stills from Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories, and details on Famous Monsters of Filmland's presence at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Mathieu. How and when did you first come up with the idea for The Gracefield Incident?
Mathieu Ratthe: First of all, thank you, Derek, for your interest in our film. I wanted to create a suspenseful story that scared the crap out of the audience, but also made them emotionally involved, which is really tough to do in this kind of movie, but I think we achieved it pretty well in our film.
The conceptual idea (or I liked to call it the “technique”) came after I realized how many days I was given to shoot our film with the budget that I had.

I'm in a "Justice League: War" kind of mood. You know, feisty & ready to kick the crap out of a parademon. #JLWar pic.twitter.com/CCVyLOtX1B— Gary Miereanu (@SuperPRGuy) December 13, 2013 Justice League: War will be released on February 4th, 2014. "When the powerful Darkseid and his massive, relentless forces invade Earth, a group of previously unaligned super heroes – misunderstood and, in some cases, hunted by the authorities – discover the only way to fend off the attack will be to work together as a cohesive unit. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Shazam and, in his origin story, Cyborg combine their respective talents in an all-out battle to save the planet. Based on the 2012 graphic novel, “Justice League: Origin,” by Geoff Johns & Jim Lee, Justice League: War provides a glance into the world before the Justice League was created, and offers the initial animated incarnation of DC Entertainment’s...

Justice League: War will feature a new-look Wonder Woman, a promo image suggests.
Warner Bros PR executive Gary Miereanu tweeted an image from the animated feature, showing the Amazonian in a sleeveless uniform with a darker colour scheme.
Justice League: War is based on DC Comics' 'New 52' universe, but Wonder Woman does not appear to have been derived from Jim Lee's recent take on the character.
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol actress Michelle Monaghan will provide the voice of the heroine in the movie, with Alan Tudyk as Superman and Jason O'Mara as Batman.
The storyline sees the Justice League band together to fight off an alien invasion on Earth.

It was previously reported that DC Animation's next film following Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is titled Justice League: War. No other details were known, other than an assumed 2014 release. Now, "Super PR Guy" Gary Miereanu has confirmed this via Twitter, ahead of the official San Diego Comic-Con announcement later this week. The film is based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's first Justice League story arc in "The New 52", which focuses on the origins of the superhero team. It makes sense to release this right after a Flashpoint adaptation, as that story arc led to the beginning of the new continuity. Additionally, Miereanu revealed that Jason O'Mara (Terra Nova) is voicing Batman in the animated feature. No further casting or other details have been confirmed, but stay tuned to Cbm for an official announcement this week straight out of Comic-Con. Update: Via World's Finest Online, we have...

Artist, Shannon Tindle, most recently worked on DreamWorks Animation's The Croods and Rise of the Guardians. But, it's her few pieces of artwork from a scrapped project involving Bruce Timm that caught my interest. Bruce, recently stepped down as the Supervising Producer of Warner Bros. Animation, but don't fret cause Gary Miereanu explained that Bruce would "be back - in a very big way." One possibility, that we posted back in late March (click here) was that Timm was creating a Justice League cartoon series. Now, I've come across Tindle's post from April 12th titled, "70's Justice League": "Last year I got a call from Warner Bros. asking if I'd be interested in working with Bruce Timm on a Justice League video. I think I was in the car before I finished the call. I met with Bruce who told me he was looking to do a graphic interpretation...

2012 will be the first year that GeekTrant will invade WonderCon, mostly due to the fact that it was moved down to Anaheim, CA this year which is right in our backyard. We're all pretty excited about attending this year, as we've heard it's a much smaller more intimate version of San Diego Comic Con.
WonderCon is set to open on Friday, March 16th and run through Sunday, March 18th at the Anaheim Convention Center. If you plan on attending let us know, and maybe we can meet up and hang out for a bit!
I've put stars next to the panels we are interested in attending. Check out the schedule, and let us know what you are looking forward to seeing most!

New York Comic Con officially kicked off yesterday for press, professionals and anyone with a 4-day pass. In a few hours I will be heading to the Javits Center to attend the first full day of the convention. Contrary to the event name, Nycc has a lot more to offer than just comics. Below are just a few of the movie / TV related panels, screenings, guests and booths that we recommend checking out. Be sure to keep checking back on Wamg for more Nycc coverage. And follow me on twitter (@GetStuck) for some tweets and pics from the show floor.
