Exploited gets off to a start that certainly lives up to its title as webcam performer Caleb is beaten to death in mid-performance.
Move forward a few months to the start of a new school year and Brian (Jordan Ver Hoeve; 666: Teen Warlock) is moving into his dorm room and starting college life. After walking in on his roommate Jeremy and his girlfriend Lexi he starts to get settled in. He doesn’t notice a flash drive identical to the one the school gave him sitting on the desk. He’s in for a nasty shock as it contains videos of the online sexual activity of the room’s previous occupant. And, in the last video, being murdered.

Mark Rosman‘s The House on Sorority Row (1982) and Stewart Hendler‘s Sorority Row (2009) feel shoved aside in their respective horror classes. Titles like Pieces, Black Christmas, and The Dorm That Dripped Blood get more frequent mentions when discussing pre-90s sorority or dormitory slashers. Remake debates rarely include Sorority Row in their reassessments of unfairly stigmatized 2000s horror revamps based on nostalgia biases (among other reasons). It’s interesting how both seem equally less popular despite their amassed cult followings after meager box office openings.
It’s almost like Hendler attempted to shake the original’s mojo by deeming Sorority Row an adaptation of Rosman’s screenplay Seven Sisters — the earlier iteration of what would become The House on Sorority Row. Don’t mind the trickiness because Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger write their re-imagining indebted to The House on Sorority Row. Maybe late-2000s remake fatigue led to...

The Originals has been off the air for over four years, but the popularity of the world established in The Vampire Diaries reigns today.
The second spinoff series, Legacies, got canceled after four seasons, and fans have been clamoring for it to be saved.
We're here to take a look at the Originals, and what the actors are doing now!
Leah Pipes -- Camille O'Connell
Camille was a human bartender who got turned into a vampire by Aurora de Martel before being killed by Lucien.
Leah Pipes amassed 65 episodes before her character got killed by the werewolf bite.
Before the originals, she had the occasional guest role in many different teen-centered series, like Glee.
After the Originals, Pipes appeared in the occasional feature film, along with a guest role on 9-1-1.

"You sick, lonely webcam freak!" Gravitas Ventures has revealed an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Exploited, from filmmaker Jon Abrahams. This is being dumped on VOD this week, and this trailer will paint a pretty clear picture as to why. A college freshman becomes obsessed with the previous owner of his school issued laptop. His quest becomes complicated when he falls in love with his roommate, who's already taken. The mysterious disappearance of the webcam model ends up with their lives being manipulated and blackmailed. The film "tells a provocative story set on a college campus against the backdrop of a voyeuristic hacker. Real world fears such as personal privacy and camming are explored in this psychological thriller." The film stars Sierra McCormick, Makenzie Vega, Leah Pipes, Will Peltz, Spencer List, Jordan Ver Hoeve, Colin Bates, and Hannah Rose May. It doesn't look like there's much to see here - skip it.

The Battle of Winterfell may be upon us, but Charmed (2018) Season 1 Episode 19 was all about the battle for the Source; delivering just as much murder, melodrama and mischief as Game Of Thrones ever could.
I’ve never been so impressed by an episode of this show. Charmed (2018) may have steadily increased in quality over the second half of it’s season, but this is the first time it felt like watching an installment of the original.
“Power of Four” had everything-- major character deaths, lies and deceit, heart-wrenching breakups and heartfelt reunions.
There is no better way to ramp up towards a finale.
Charmed (2018) has had an issue moving the plot forward. Too much happens at once, and important story points tend to get steamrolled by lesser imperative weekly arcs.
Now that we’re nearing the finale, the “monster of the week” theme has been tossed aside, and all the...

It's official: you have blonde hair, blue eyes, or are extremely attractive, you are not to be trusted.
That's what Charmed (2018) Season 1 Episode 17 taught us at least.
Because on Charmed, the more devilishly handsome you are, the bigger the chance you have at, well, being the actual devil.
Taking a break from playing Alex Manes on Roswell, New Mexico Season 1, Tyler J. Blackburn skipped over to the land of witches and demons for a while. Except unlike his character on Roswell, Blackburn was anything but the good guy of the bunch.
In fact, he was about as bad as they come on a series like Charmed.
It was a jarring juxtaposition for Blackburn, who has historically played the typical golden boy for most of his career. So much so, I was wary of his ability to pull off a purely evil character.
My worrying was fruitless, as Blackburn nailed the...

The CW's reboot of Charmed may be coming back for a sophomore run, but it looks like there will be some big changes.
Showrunner Carter Covington is bowing out after just one season and is being replaced by Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro, according to Deadline.
The pair are said to be taking the series in a new direction, one that will focus more on the supernatural aspect as opposed to the family side of things.
While that's not to say the family dynamics will be left in the rear-view mirror, it does sound like the creative forces are more confident in taking the show in a darker direction.

This episode featured a progressively modern take on an age-old legend, the perfect story fit for a series like Charmed.
Although less nuanced than it’s previous few installments, Charmed Season 1 Episode 15 continued to highlight what the series creators promised to deliver: unbridled and unapologetic feminism.
This time, it got showcased through the legend of Medusa. Reminding their demographic you can’t always believe what you hear in school, Charmed writers shined a light on the misogynistic roots of Medusa’s tale.
Was she a monster with snakes for hair who turned people into stone? Yes, she was. That's the "what" of the story. However, thanks to societies insatiable thirst for narratives revolving around dangerous female seduction, history tends to leave out the "why" of it all.
Medusa only turned into a monster after Greek God Posiden repeatedly raped her. She was then essentially slut-shamed by Goddess Athena and punished...

The Mikaelsons will take their final stand on The Originals Season 5 Episode 13, and it looks like we could be losing one or more members of the family.
The Originals Season 5 Episode 12 concluded with Klaus deciding to make the ultimate sacrifice: The Hollow's dark magic was removed from Hope and transferred to him.
But his plan to use the final white oak stake to kill himself was stopped by Elijah, who seems intent on being the one to perish for his own actions.
The CW's official description for the series finale reads, "Intent on saving Hope’s (Danielle Rose Russell) life, Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) plan will change the lives of the Mikaelson family forever."
Given that Legacies has landed the fall slot on the network, and that the series centers on Hope, we think it's fair to say that Hope will not be perishing on the final episode.

The family is back together, but how long will it last?
On The Originals Season 5 Episode 8, the family started the process of putting the past behind them, but will they be able to keep it together before the new prophecy hits?
Below, TV Fanatics Alyssa Whittington, Lizzy Buczak and Justin Carreiro discuss Elijah's predicament, Kol's honest words and so much more.
Elijah has his memories back. React!
Alyssa: Finally. Seriously, it took way too long for this to happen. But the way it happened? Absolutely heartbreaking. I felt the pain he endured.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up. Daniel Gillies did a superb job in that scene, and it was beautifully shot. The agony he felt knowing that Hayley was dead... Wow.
Lizzy: Initially, I wanted Elijah to remember everything, but after Hayley's death, it crossed my mind that maybe he'd be better off just not knowing.

Spoiler Alert.
You've been warned.
E! News has confirmed that Danielle Campbell will be staging a comeback to the supernatural series for one episode. That episode will be titled "Voodoo in my Blood."
According to the synopsis for the episode, Cambell's alter ego Davina Claire will not be returning to the land of the living.

However, the pair is shocked to the core when it emerges that Davina is the one who holds all the secrets to stopping the Hollow from taking over everyone in New Orleans.

Klaus Mikaelson is free from captivity!
On The Originals Season 4 Episode 2, Klaus' family put their scheming into overdrive to ensure they all escaped New Orleans in one piece.
It resulted in an hour that was up there as one of the best of the series.
Cami returning as a figment of Klaus' imagination was inevitable. She spent so long being his shrink that it would have been silly not to include her at some point helping him from beyond the grave.
As much as I would like Leah Pipes to stage a permanent return to the series, her scenes tonight helped me say goodbye to the character.
Losing her was horrible on The Originals Season 3, but she hardly got much to work with on the show.
Considering the way The Vampire Diaries Season 8 concluded, it seems like Caroline and Klaus are going to meet up for some steamy vampire sex,...

It's been a long ten months, and I'm so glad to say The Originals is finally back.
Did it live up to the tremendous hype?
The Originals Season 4 Episode 1 was, without a doubt the best episode in a few years.
The five-year time jump helped. Returning after all this time off the air made me concerned that it would be difficult to keep track of events, but Michael Narducci elevated the show higher than I thought was possible.
Let's start with Hayley. In short, she was badass. Her sass throughout the hour was on point, and I loved getting to see her continued fight to save the Mikaelsons.
Mary warning her off bringing the Mikaelsons back was warranted. Hayley has had five years of safety, and that's what she needed to find the final werewolf so Freya could make the antidote.
Hopefully, Mary has a bigger role this season. She's...

Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) is not someone who handles life well when things don't go his way, as we've learned over the past three seasons of The Originals (and on The Vampire Diaries before that). So naturally, he's not handling the death of his love, Cami (Leah Pipes) in the best way. E!
