- Brighton's company, M.A. Brighton and Co., built the Vulgarian airship used in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), with additional help from Giles Camplin and Arthur Eveleigh-de-Moleyns. Brighton tested the aircraft with his mentor Anthony Smith, and flew it with stunt pilot Derek Piggott. They spent 11 hours flying the aircraft before crashing it into power lines.
