As a child, Jason would find any opportunity to immerse himself in worlds created for television and film. Making short films with friends and hanging out on movie sets further stoked his interest in movie making. He later studied film history at UBC and experimental film at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. It was a job at a VFX post production facility which led to Jason's formative years working for MGM television. As an editor, his focus on timing and sound design have been influenced by years of writing, performing and recording music.
