Emily was raised in Taree, a town in regional NSW Australia. The youngest of six children to two teaching parents (Jennifer and Neal McKendry) she first found a love of performance with local community drama groups. After graduating high school, she moved to Wagga Wagga where she completed a Bachelor of Stage and Screen (Acting). Upon completion of that degree, she moved to Sydney, Australia.
A consistent stage performer and Theatre Production Manager of Dark Stories Theatre, Emily has performed in over 200 shows with the company since 2019. In 2020 she wrote and directed her first play 'The Haunting', and followed it up with her second play in 2022 'Murder by Invitation'.
Moving into 2023, Emily began to transition to screen work. Notable productions include short film 'Ozmar', and feature film 'The List'.
