Diana has over 30 years experience in broadcast.
She was Series Editor of the popular BBC One Current Affairs series "Inside Out" in the East region from 2002 - 2019 handling investigations, complex legal issues and commissioning diverse content.
In documentaries her credits cover History, Arts, Current Affairs, contemporary life and Obs Docs. She has devised and developed history based formats such as The Flying Archaeologist and takes pride in creating content that is both great to watch and intelligent.
She's an expert at getting the best out of very small budgets and relishes the challenge of running complex teams and sensitive productions. Blending programme making experience with a zest for originality she delivers content that is fresh and exciting as well as editorially sound. She was Executive producer for several episodes of "A very British History" (BBC Four) which explored the stories of diverse communities using testimony and archive.
During a spell as Development Editor for BBC English regions she drove collaborations delivering multi platform content and new series for BBC Two and Four, including a regional documentaries series complementing "Civilisations".
In 2020 she Execed her first project for BBC Three (Step into the Ring). Her most recent series for BBC Two (Villages by the Sea) delivered impressive audience share for the channel.
In her current role as Commissioning Executive for BBC England she is working on several high profile projects for BBC Two and BBC One.
She is also a qualified Executive Coach, working with senior leaders across the BBC and external organisations.
