Static-x and Sevendust have added a third leg to their co-headlining US tour.
The bands already teamed up for a Fall 2023 leg, and they previously announced a Winter 2024 leg set to launch in February. The newly announced Spring 2024 dates kick off April 28th in Salt Lake City and running through May 18th in Minneapolis. Dope and Lies of Loyalty will support these shows, in addition to opening the February leg.
Various ticket pre-sales are ongoing for select dates, and general ticket sales start Friday (January 12th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
The outing is billed as the co-headlining “Machine Killer” tour, named after Static-x’s sophomore album, Machine, and Sevendust’s latest studio LP, Truth Killer, which dropped back in July.

Industrial metal band Static-x have released the new song “Stay Alive.” The track appears on the band’s upcoming Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 album and features vocals from late frontman Wayne Static.
“Stay Alive” is one of the final original songs Wayne was working on before his passing. In fact, in a release, the group’s former sound engineer Eddie Ortel says, “Wayne was working on this track the night that he passed away.”
An accompanying music video can be disturbing to some, as it features unreleased footage from Wayne’s “Assassins of Youth” video that shows him engaging in drug use that would eventually lead to his early death. Wayne passed away on November 1st, 2014, at the age of 48.
In the song, Wayne sings of the hardships of being a “professional addict” with the cry, “I just need you to survive! Cut you up to stay alive!” Along with Wayne on lead vocals,...

Static has had a rough year, but things are looking up for the spikey haired industrial metal icon as he prepares to hit the road under his ‘Wayne Static’ solo banner for a Christmas tour with supporting acts The Defiled and Madlife. In June of this year Static-x broke up for the second and, more than likely, final time. Front-man Wayne Static had relaunched the group the year before with new band members and had been paying former bandmate Tony Campos for the rights to use the Static-x name while on tour. All was going well until Static was forced to cut the tour short to undergo major hernia surgery. Unfortunately, Campos refused to give the singer a break due to some comments Static made (to the press) where he mentioned that he wasn't anything more than business associates with the...

Of all the bands that float past us like the splintered remains of a colossal shipwreck, none has more identifiable debris than Ministry. Throughout it’s twenty-seven year lifespan, this project -and it’s front man, Al Jourgensen --have redefined the term juggernaut, smashing through the broken pieces of countless genre-based definitions. With every song Ministry has released, they‘ve altered modern music as a whole, leaving behind a number of amazing albums -and an astonishing panorama of destruction --in their wake. The seismic impact of their influence can be felt through out the last twenty years, registering highly on the Richter Scale of bands like Static-x, Powerman 5000, Fear Factory, and the entire Nu Metal scene as a whole. In addition to being an asshole, I am also a fan of virtually every project Al Jourgensen has ever tainted, with Ministry at the forefront. This body of work has...

Let me begin by saying that Best Buy is the surest proof of Satan’s existence I can think of, next to that charming synonym for cancer known as “Walmart.” Buying music there is like having sex with a plastic partner; you get off but don’t have any of the fun visceral stuff. Music stores should smell a little musty, be full of new and odd music you’ve never heard before but might gamble on, and have esoteric posters on the walls. The guys behind the counter… well, they should all be James Zahn. Best Buy is none of those things, but they do get a lot of special edition albums, and today I was after one with a vengeance. So, I jumped into my car, careful not to bump the peak of my Buck Satan on the sunroof, and braved their clear, clean aisles and brilliant florescent...

For the past fifteen years, Static-x has been delivering their crushing brand of industrial metal (self-dubbed "evil disco") to the masses. On March 17th, the band will release Cult Of Static, their sixth studio album, coming on the eve of the tenth anniversary of their platinum-selling debut, Wisconsin Death Trip. Last night, Fango caught up with bassist Tony Campos, who along with frontman Wayne Static, has been in the band since the beginning. What followed was a conversation about the band, their new album, and their long-running connections to the horror genre.
James Zahn: So you've got Cult Of Static being released almost 10 years to the date that Wisconsin Death Trip (released March 23, 1999) came out. How do you feel Static-x has evolved over the course of the past decade?
Tony Campos: It's weird, ya know? We did some experimenting on the third and fourth albums, and then went...

Static-x has just posted the first single off their forthcoming album, Cult of Static on their official MySpace page. “Stingwray” was inspired by Wayne Static’s wife, former adult film star Tera Wray Static, and the Corvette Stingray she drives. Keeping the integral tones, Static-x encompasses shredding guitars with solos that have brought the band to a level of playing to be reckoned with. The cybernetic stomp of “Hypure” and “You Am I” bludgeon, bruise and break with precise grooves. Elsewhere, the staccato riffs on “Terminal” crush through an unmistakable guitar tone. Guitarist Koichi Fukuda blazes through incendiary solos, while Tony Campos bolts down demonic bass lines and Nick Oshiro pounds [...]...
