Celebrities taking private jets to and from different events is nothing new. But when high-profile people like Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle do, it makes news since they claim to be eco-activists. The duke is even the founder of a sustainable travel initiative called Travalyst. Therefore, the Sussexes have been blasted as “hypocrites” after reports surfaced that they hitched a ride on a private jet with a few other celebs who attended Katy Perry’s concert to close out her residency in Las Vegas on Nov. 4. Other stars on the airliner included Zoe Saldana, and Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden.
Now, a royal expert is finding irony in Meghan and Harry flying with Madden because a certain Good Charlotte tune could be their “theme song.”

Fame is fleeting, and a lasting career in Hollywood is even harder to come by. These stars, however, have proven to be the exceptions: They're just as relevant today as they were 15 years ago! Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake both have top-selling singles on iTunes, Blink 182 and Good Charlotte both have new albums in the top 10, and just this morning, Gwen Stefani's Today performance was b-a-n-a-n-a-s. We're loving it, don't get us wrong, but is this 2001 or 2016? It's a testament to all these stars' talent and hard work that they're still topping the charts after all these years. The majority of artists we voted for back on MTV's Trl fell off the radar a decade ago....

My early skepticism surrounding 2016’s Ghostbusters revamp had nothing to do with female heroes or sad YouTube hatred. Simply put, cadaver-cold trailers and Doa clips did nothing but pander to branded appeal and adopt low-hanging punchlines. No wow-factor, revitalized excitement, or semblance of scripted ambition. Did we really need one more ’80s reboot in our lives?
As it turns out, the answer is yes – when it’s Paul Feig at the helm, we do.
Just like how weak trailers for Spy and The Heat led perceptions astray, Ghostbusters cohesively clicks together in ways that two-minute teasers could never properly represent. Feig’s updated take on New York City’s paranormal infestation takes estrogen-fueled digs at piggish masculinity, to hilarious effect, without ever becoming a girl’s-club exclusive. Why I lost faith in Feig I have no idea, especially with all...

Adam Sandler would do well to listen to “Game On,” which blares over the end credits of his latest movie, Pixels. “This is not a game now, nobody can save you /Spent up all your change and now your turn is done” sings Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden as he pumps up Waka Flock Flame for improbable lyrics about video arcade stuntin’. As a merchandising tie-in, “Game On” mashes up two artists whose one shared interest is the contract they both signed. As a wake up call though, it’s unintentionally prescient, blasting out the very words Sandler has refused to hear for the past decade as his comedy persona has morphed from the underdog with something to prove to the sweatpants-wearing schlub yelling that he’s “still got it.”

As if a Saturday Night Live hosting gig isn’t enough for one lifetime, Girls star Lena Dunham got cozy with the Obamas over the weekend. Dunham’s boyfriend, fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff, shared a photo of the fearless foursome on Instagram, making us wonder whether they each revealed their thoughts on Ukraine, or just jumped into a debate about Taylor Swift vs. Beyoncé.

"Good Charlotte" guitarist Benji Madden is Not a tree's best friend -- he just dropped $1.1 million on a cool new bungalow in L.A. -- that's practically covered, floor-to-ceiling, in dead trees. Benji -- not to be confused with his twin brother Joel Madden -- scored the 2,183-square-foot pad in the Hollywood Hills back in February ... after it sat on the market for 192 days. The 3-bedroom, 3-bath house is nice -- but one thing stands...

More than anything, Workaholics is particularly good at showcasing the loserdom of Adam, Blake, and Ders, and there's no better way to do so than flashing the various successes of their peers in their faces. Tonight, that happens yet again in a stellar episode that still manages to invent something--the world's first unburnable flag--while also dousing all of its bad guys in overhead sprinklers full or urine. So yeah, this episode clearly doesn't quite work out the way it should have, but hey: Karl was back! And Adam and Ders do cocaine! We've got the best quotes below:
"You don't take art down! Art takes You down!"
"I get it, man. I'm punk rock, too. I own every Good Charlotte CD."
"I'm not a Kkk guy, but... that looks magnificent."
"The guy was acting like the second coming of Master P."
"Please get dressed, we're verging on fashionably late."

5) Dutch Uncles “Flexxin”
Dir: ?
With the same level of commitment to selling a song as Thom Yorke, singer Duncan Wallis oozes cool when he busts some moves in this indie ode to dance. Whilst I’m not usually a fan of dull back drops or performance based videos, the black background works in Wallis’ favour. The simple visuals and right amount of well executed cuts compliment this chirpy, indie pop tune perfectly. Both channeling their inner Napoleon Dynamite, I would love to see Yorke and Wallis have a dance-off.
4) Young Fathers “Romance”
Dir: Young Fathers
There is not enough well done black and white videos out there. It’s a hard thing to perfect, some videos look great stripped of colour but they aren’t that visually interesting (Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans” is the first example that springs to mind) but with “Romance” this isn’t the case at all.

A chicken-related message on the Meatless Monday Facebook page
Days after appointing former PETA supporter and vegetarian Benji Madden as its spokesman, KFC is to have its sponsored radio show co-hosted by tennis legend Pat Cash who is campaigning for the public not to eat meat on Mondays.
Cash, the former Wimbledon champion, is to co-host the KFC Summer Session drivetime show on Triple M.
The announcement of Cash for the KFC-sponsored show comes shortly after he was named as a celebrity supporter of Meatless Monday – a campaign to persuade people to eat less meat.
From next Monday, Triple M’s KFC Summer Session will air from 4pm to 6pm weekdays with Adam Gilchrist, Mark Bosnich and Tony Squires. Cash will take over from Bosnich in January when the tennis season begins.
The new show was announced on Triple M this morning. It will air in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.

It’s boot camp, bitch. Sometimes on "Dancing With the Stars," things just don't go the way you want them to. As much as I love Gladys Knight -- and Tristan MacManus -- I know that they're ultimately in jeopardy of going home after tonight's less-than-stellar performance.
Meanwhile, fan favorite Maksim Chmerkovskiy could also be in danger of exiting the ballroom earlier due to his partner Melissa Gilbert's nerves. The same could also be said for nice guy Toni Dovolani and his celebrity partner Martina Navratilova, who just can't seem to remember her steps.
However, "Dancing With the Stars" BFFs Mark Ballas and Derek Hough are sitting pretty together, at the top of the leaderboard with their gorgeous partners-in-crime, Katherine Jenkins and Maria Menounous, respectively. Plus, football player Donald Driver even received a shocking apology from Len, who said he "undermarked" him last week.
And despite a potentially major slip this week, "View" co-host...

“Dancing with the Stars” presents what seems to be its usual roster of Week 2 dances: quickstep and jive, the fastest of the ballroom and Latin routines. (To refresh your memories, the jive features kicks, flips and high energy, while the quickstep involves hops, runs and chasses, which feature gliding in a step-together-step motion.) With no elimination last Monday, will tonight give the couples a second chance to make a first impression? Can Jaleel White and Katherine Jenkins maintain their insanely high – 26! – first-week scores?...

It may be over ten years since the class of '99 walked the hallways of their high school, but it seems for Stifler, Jim, Michelle and the rest of the gang, the playlist hasn't really changed.
With "American Reunion" headed to theaters in a couple of weeks, details on the official soundtrack (via Film Music Reporter) as well as the full list of songs in the film has dropped, and it's a bit of jump back in time. Oh sure, the party-starting tracks most people expect these days from the interchangeable likes of Cobra Starship, Lmfao and 3Oh!3 feature, but it's the '90s that are here in full force. The Verve Pipe, Semisonic, Lit, Third Eye Blind, Montell Jordan, Boyz II Men, Montell Jordan, 2 Live Crew....it's like we're fifteen all over again. Remember Bic Runga's "Sway"? No? It was a minor '90s hit that appeared on...

Although country superstar Keith Urban is still recovering from from a throat surgery he underwent in November, he’s gearing up for his next big gig — a coaching spot on the Australian version of The Voice, which is set to premiere later this year.
Alongside Seal, Delta Goodrem (a hugely popular Australian popstar — also, the current girlfriend of Nick Jonas), and Good Charlotte lead singer Joel Madden, Urban will mentor a team of eager singers in hopes of launching a new vocal pop star. Check out a new promo for the show below:
I’m surprised and impressed that producers nabbed Urban for the panel.

Good things come to those who wait. After four sequels (which I refuse to consider count as part the American Pie films) since the original American Pie cast were together, we’re finally getting close to the fourth (technically, eighth, but I refer you to my previous bracket) film in the excellent American Pie franchise.
They may not be ground-breaking, but they were a part of my adolescence, and they’re a lot of fun to just sit back and enjoy.
We’ve been getting some great things over the past few months from the film, most recently with the first red band trailer and some excellent new images, and now we’ve got a full-length, green band, suitable-for-work second trailer to share with you, courtesy of Yahoo Movies via The Playlist.

Stars from across the world of showbusiness have remembered the victims of 9/11 on the 10th anniversary of the atrocity.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the worst terrorist attack in America's history after two hijacked airplanes crashed into the Twin Towers at New York's World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. A third slammed into the Pentagon in Virginia and a fourth crash landed in Pennsylvania.
Now a whole host of famous faces have taken to their Twitter.com blogs to pay tribute to the spirit of the American people.
Glee star Lea Michele, who was born in the Bronx, New York, writes, "To all the families and people of New York affected by the tragedies of September 11th my thoughts and prayers go out to you. NYC is one of the most strong & beautiful places in the world. I feel so blessed & proud today to have been born and raised in this city."
Singer Josh Groban adds, "I can't believe it has been 10 years. Stay safe and sound today, NYC. Neverforget", and Rob Lowe tweets, "Today, I remember. Today, I promise I will never forget. Never."
Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden writes, "Sending a prayer and good thoughts out to everyone who lost their lives or a loved one on 9/11 10 years ago. Respect. God bless."
Actress Eliza Dushku states, "Ne'er forget those we lost, the heroes & prayers to the survivors/families. Love to all," while Olivia Wilde writes, "10 years ago today, our shocked world marched together for Peace. let's not forget that spirit. my heart goes out to all who have suffered."

Tinie Tempah travels around the world with Wiz Khalifa in a music video for their joint track "Till I'm Gone". He drops off his girl on the side of the road and makes a fresh start. Instead of mourning the loss of his relationship, he joins his pals visiting Amsterdam, Sydney, New York and London. Good Charlotte's Joel Madden and Benji Madden make cameos in the clip.

It seems that Disney is finally catching on to the idea that commercial success can hinge on the older demographics.
It started with Almost Alice, which featured songs from the likes of Fall Out Boy, Owl City, All Time Low and more. The album was released alongside of their Alice In Wonderland reboot and not only did it generate quite a bit of fervor over the movie itself, but it also managed to reach the #1 spot on the Billboard Rock and Alternative charts.
Disney is apparently hoping to duplicate last years success story with the release of Muppets: The Green Album. The album, which will be released 3 months prior to the The Muppets, will include a host of Muppets songs as interpreted by various mainstream and indie artists. Whereas Almost Alice seemed to be targeting the teen demographic, The Green Album‘s roster implies that this time they are instead targeting the 20-somethings.

Recently we’ve been posting the Track of the Day, showcasing some of our favourite music. If you’ve been keeping up, you now know we don’t necessarily listen to mainstream fare. The reason I bring this up is because now we have another reason to be excited for The Muppet movie. We know we can already expect some great musical numbers from Jason Segal and Flight of the Conchords star Bret McKenzie who is the music supervisor for the film. But what we didn’t know, was that a tribute album of covers would be released in honour of the film. The CD titled Muppets: The Green Album, will be arriving in stores by the end of the summer and it boasts some great choices including My Morning Jacket, Weezer, Paramore‘s Hayley Williams and Andrew Bird who gets to sing “Bein’ Green.”
The disc will hit stores August 23rd.
