- In early 80s he did design sketches for an all Canadian economy car for his great-uncle Toronto industrialist Percy W. Bishop, former Saturday Night & Liberty magazine publisher who brought the Austin car to Canada decades earlier. It was to be built through Massey Ferguson but was never realized.

- Was a 60s retro spotlight dancer in late 80s at a Peter Noone Herman's Hermit's Halloween concert Newmarket, Ontario.
- During the height of the twist craze, Gregory was asked to stay behind after music appreciation class to dance away the lunch period on the teacher's desk for her amusement. Forty years later, he paid tribute to the fun day and her, in his screenplay: Going Beyond Violet.
- Went to the last hockey game played by hockey player and donut king empire founder Tim Horton. The team lost that night and did not come out for autographs. His fatal auto accident happened on the way home after the game.
- A lifetime memorabilia collector, among his items are artwork by actor James Stewart, the very first issue of Life magazine, a Joan Crawford letter concerning the untimely death of Dorothy Kilgallen who investigated J.F.K, one of two known pieces of the Plexiglas skin from the burned Buckminster Fuller American Pavilion of Expo '67, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's own autographed Burberry necktie, and two pieces of front seat upholstery from the Buick in which Jayne Mansfield was riding in that fateful night in June 1967.
