Put under contract to Warner Brothers in the 1940s along with another
actor, TV Talk Show mogul Merv Griffin.
She was part of the 1940s Country/Western singing team the "Darling
Sisters".
Made history as one of the acts (The Darling Sisters) who opened the
Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, operated by gangster Bugsy Segal. This was
the first of the modern hotel/casinos.
Maryellen and her sister Polly Bond were the leading act as "The
Darling Sisters" in the late 1940's at the 'The Ray Corriganville Ranch
[us] , owned and managed by western actor "Crash" Ray Corrigan. Where the ranch was is now Simi Valley, California .
