The consolidation in the talent representation space continues. Agency for the Performing Arts and music touring agency Artist Group International (Agi) are merging, with the combined full-service agency rebranded as Independent Artist Group (Iag). APA President Jim Osborne is being named CEO of Iag, with Dennis Arfa, founder and CEO of Agi, as Chairman of the Music Division of Iag. Former longtime APA CEO Jim Gosnell will serve on the board of Agi alongside Osborne and Arfa.
Agi was founded 35 years ago by Arfa and acquired by Ron Burkle’s Yucaipa Entertainment in 2012. The client roster that it brings to Iag includes Billy Joel, Metallica, Def Leppard, Rod Stewart, Motley Crue, Linkin Park, Jane’s Addiction, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Norah Jones, Neil Young, The Strokes, Smashing Pumpkins, Ghost and Elvis Costello.
Jim Osborne and Dennis Arfa
The merger, which had been rumored for awhile, stems from an agreement between APA and Yucaipa Entertainment.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has released its list of nominees for induction in 2017—meaning it's time once again for rejoicing that some of the world's most meaningful artists are finally (or once again) getting their chance to be honored, while also lamenting that others continue to be overlooked. In their first year of eligibility, Pearl Jam and the late Tupac Shakur have been nominated, along with Janet Jackson, Joan Baez, Depeche Mode, Chaka Khan, Electric Light Orchestra, Jane's Addiction, J. Geils Band, Journey, The Cars, Yes, The Zombies, The Bad Brains, Steppenwolf, MC5, Kraftwerk, Joe Tex and Chic. Not a bad bunch. According to the official...

An entertaining and undemanding watch on the small screen, HBO's Entourage lifted the lid on the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to show what it might be like to live the life of a movie A-lister. Heavy on star cameos and bro banter, the show whizzed by in 30-minute instalments and swiftly built up a cult following.
There was something hugely appealing about living vicariously through fast-rising star Vincent Chase and his boys from Queens. That's not to mention Jeremy Piven's agent Ari Gold, whose unwavering loyalty to Vince was matched only by his explosive temper.

As mostly middling reviews for "Entourage" arrive (read ours), people are coming to realize what they probably should have for a few years now: the TV show was never really that good. It was a diverting half-hour at best, but in later seasons it became difficult to give the show a pass. But in case you didn't have time to go back and watch "Entourage," Screen Junkies has done it for you for their latest Honest Trailers entry. Read More: 'Entourage' Soundtrack Features Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Jane's Addiction, The National, Tame Impala & More Said junkie pretty much hit the nail on the head by summarizing the show as nothing but babes, bros, butts and brunch. Their rundown of the characters is equally on point: Vince has no charisma for someone who's supposed to be a star; Eric is no fun; Turtle is the everyman who pretty much matches...

It was only a matter of time until the hit HBO show “Entourage”, a.k.a. The Dudebro Version of “Sex and The City,” got its own movie, especially after the rushed series finale that disappointed many fans. The feature continuation of Vince, E, Johnny Drama, Turtle, and asshole-agent-turned-more-than-likely-asshole-studio-head Ari Gold’s boobs, booze, and business-filled Hollywood adventures focuses on the troubled production of Vince’s directorial debut, a big budget adaptation of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” Before a sequel that inexplicably takes the boys on a trip to Abu Dhabi ruins the franchise, fans can get pumped for the “Entourage” movie’s June 3rd release by watching 8 clips from the movie and 17 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage. As a friend pointed out to me recently, absolutely nothing happens in the "Entourage" trailers. Seriously, think about it. There is nothing that you wouldn't expect to see from the show that ended a few years ago, and really, it looks like a feature length episode of the HBO series. And maybe that's the point, but one might hope that a slick summer movie would be more than dudes yelling on phones at other dudes about Vinnie Chase once again making a movie that isn't working out, while celebrities pop by for cameos. I'm digressing. I'm here to talk about the soundtrack. Read More: Watch: Hang With The Bros In This New International Trailer For 'Entourage' The movie will be rockin' your iPod, or whatever device you use with jams, from folks like Pharrell Williams, Diplo, The National, and Tame Impala, plus Jane's Addiction, whose "Superhero" provided the theme music for the show.

Start blasting out Jane's Addiction's 'Superhero' from the pumped-up speakers in the back of your convertible, because the often-mooted-but-never-finalised Entourage Movie is back in business, pending some last minute signature scribbling. The HBO show's writer/showrunner/creator Doug Ellin tweeted the words "It's a go. Love to you all." with the photo above. This comes after Turtle himself, Jerry Ferrara, mentioned on a chat show that the film's chances were "looking real good" just days earlier. There have long been plans to take Johnny Drama and the rest of Vinny Chase's crew to the big screen, even as the last episode of the eighth and final season was aired in September 2011.A script was written a year later (boasting a setting six months after the last episode), but with difficulties getting everyone to sign on the dotted line - with Jeremy Piven one of the key players reluctant to...

Johnny Knoxville has plenty to celebrate, as the latest entry in the "Jackass" movie series made quite a bit of money over the weekend. "Jackass 3D" took in a whopping $50 million, shattering expectations and breaking the record for openings in October. While the elevated ticket price for 3-D certainly helped the film along, success is success, and "Jackass 3D" certainly earned it. The stunts were more dangerous, the pain more incredible and the gross-outs more intense than in any previous "Jackass" movies (or the television show, for that matter). Knoxville celebrated on Sunday night (October 17) at the Tony Hawk Foundation benefit at the...

Chicago — First came the rain on Friday, then the heat on Saturday. But Lollapalooza breeds a hearty stock, so with slip 'n slides, togas and giant Chinese peasant hats in tow, out came the 70,000-plus for another day of music that was capped by fill-in headliners the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and doomy metal icons Tool.
Taking the place of the Beastie Boys, who had to drop out several weeks ago due to Mc Adam Yauch's bout with cancer of the salivary gland, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs brought their always-colorful A-game, led, as usual, by fashion-forward singer Karen O, who took the stage in a kaleidoscopic, towering bird costume.
