The path to success is rarely ever paved alone. It often starts with a singular passion and comes to life thanks to the communities of people who band together to support a common goal.

Music has the unrivalled power to create communal bonds that stand the test of time. Two fans are intrinsically linked the moment they hop in the queue to watch their favorite artist. The connections run even deeper from the perspective of the people on stage that everyone is filing in to see. These shared experiences in the name of music can drive a group closer together as bandmates become family who are dedicated to a common goal.

Muse, composed of vocalist and guitarist Matt Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic Howard, will hit the road following the release of their latest album Will Of The People, which came out on 26 August 2022 – the same day the album’s supporting tour tickets were released.
The band are set to embark on a number of tour dates across Europe and the US at the end of 2022 and into 2023, and will visit the UK to perform four shows in May and August next year as part of their Will Of The People tour.
The Devon-grown rockers will kick off the UK leg by returning home to headline Home Park Stadium in Plymouth, before hitting stages in Huddersfield, Glasgow, and Milton Keynes.
The multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning rock band hasn’t toured since 2019, so for fans, these gigs will be must-see events.

It’s been a busy year for Muse. The legendary British rock trio is set to release their ninth studio effort this week, Will Of The People, which arrives as the band is two-thirds of the way through a 30-show tour that’s seen them play to as many as 90,000 fans in massive stadiums along the European summer festival circuit.
And yet, the tour began in front of just 220 ebullient die-hards at the Cavern Club in Exeter, England earlier this spring. The subterranean venue in the heart of this historic...

There’s something so communal about going to a Muse show. The experience has a way of inducing a unique catharsis. On the one hand, it’s hard to ignore the tremendous feeling of it all, from the hypnotizing laser light show to the rousing pyrotechnics and the otherworldly visuals.
But beneath the (literal) flash and frills lies something much more intimate. Fans are embracing, fists are pumping, and in spurts, the audience takes on the role of lead vocalist while they roar the lyrics of their favorite records. In these moments,...

The last time Muse set foot onstage together was two and a half years ago in Lima, Peru, the final date of their Simulation Theory world tour. The show was an explosive, sci-fi circus rife with majestic dystopian themes, and laser-tag neon lighting. These bandstand theatrics have been a trademark of the trio’s live shows for almost two decades, but for their first gig since 2019, they’re taking a different approach. Thanks to Jim Beam, the band is returning to their hometown, for an intimate performance in front of the community that raised them.

No one can ever say that Muse doesn’t know how to put on a phenomenal show! This time around it was quite apparent that the band spared no expense on the production that went into bringing the “Simulation Theory” tour to Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. Muse’s show was chock full of spectacular laser lighting effects, Led-clad back-up dancer and brass musicians, and of course, we couldn’t possibly forget the ginormous robotic skeleton! It was definitely out of this world, to say the least.
Muse is on tour in support of their eight album release “Simulation Theory” and have proved once again with this album that they are fearless when it comes to changing up their style, this time opting for a more 80’s retro vibe complete with heavy synths and searing guitar riffs. Muse performed a rattling version of “Pressure,” a track from their recently issued Simulation Theory LP, on Tuesday’s Tonight Show. Frontman Matthew Bellamy belted in his signature theatrical vibrato over a psych-blues guitar riff, moaning brass, Dominic Howard’s tumbling toms and bassist Chris Wolstenholme’s eerie whispers.
The prog-rock band explored more Eighties and electronic influences on Simulation Theory, their eighth album, which also includes the previously released tracks “Dig Down,” “Thought Contagion,” “Something Human” and “The Dark Side.” The group issued a quirky video for “Pressure” co-starring...

Muse outrun the cops en route to an intergalactic video store in the clip for their new song, “Something Human.”
The track finds Muse injecting their arena prog rock with bursts of folk. Over the crisp strum of an acoustic guitar and the rousing stomp of a kick drum – both of which are drenched in electronic effects – singer Matt Bellamy belts: “The big picture’s gone/ Replaced with visions of you/ Now life can begin/ I’ve cleansed all my sins/ I’m about to break through.”

Formed in 1994 in sleepy Teignmouth, Devon, Muse are now one of the most popular and energetic bands on the modern music scene, with six albums released, numerous awards won and hundreds of live shows which wow the watcher to the last moment. Some have claimed that Matt Bellamy, the charismatic lead singer and guitarist of the trio, is the ‘Hendrix of his generation’.
But others, including this writer, claim something else – that Muse are more akin to a modern version of legendary rock group Queen, who have disappeared from the major music industry since the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991.
Even Brian May, the former guitarist of Queen, has claimed that Muse are very similar to the his own former band. Some people may ask why, but there a lot of reasons why Muse are a modern version of Queen, molded...

In their early years, Muse were often likened to Radiohead and although they have come a long way since then, when I read the WhatCulture article Radiohead: Every Album Ranked From Worst To Best by Dolan Reynolds, I couldn’t help but feel inspired to write a similar article about the other great British rock band, Muse.
Formed in 1994, Muse have many musical styles to their name; classical, heavy metal, electronica and rock, to name but a few, and it is likely that everyone has at least one Muse album or song that they love.
But which is the best? Read on to find out.
6. The 2nd Law (2012)
It’s a bit of a cliché claiming that the most recent album is the worst: can any longstanding fan ever enjoy the new material as much as the older songs that had got them into the band in the first place?...

Will the real Matt Bellamy - Muse charismatic frontman - please stand up?
Mr Bellamy is immediately and obviously a very interesting person - someone who recorded his unborn son's heartbeat in hospital and later put the sound on his band's new album (proud dad), an ethereal dreamer who came up with the title of his band's latest album while watching Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight (nerd), and the de factor son-in-law of Goldie Hawn (accredited bona fide A-lister).
The 2nd Law is Muse's sixth studio album - after 15 million records sold, Matt B says they're "evolving"
Okay, let's deal with the first, most exciting part of this lot, the unborn sounds of baby Bingham, born to Bellamy and partner Kate Hudson in July last year. Was this a planned musical collaboration?
He laughs (often).
"It was totally spontaneous, two days before the baby's arrival, and Kate was in hospital, with this.

To quote Matt Bellamy, “hey you crazy kids!”
Muse have launched their sixth album “The 2nd Law” with a free stream on The Guardian’s website.
Their latest offering, the first since “The Resistance” in 2009, is perhaps their most varied yet. They retain some elements of classical music, like they did in the excellent trio of “Exogenesis” tracks from The Resistance whilst exploring other areas of dubstep (“The 2nd Law: Unsustainable” and “Follow Me”) and funk (“Panic Station”). However, for me as a lifelong Muse fan, it is an exciting album for two reasons - one: bassist Chris Wolstenholme takes over vocal duties for the first time on two tracks he penned (“Save Me” and “Liquid State”) and two: the band go back to basics with their original style of face-melting rock (“Supremacy”) in a move that will please a portion of the fanbase who were praying for a return...

Band's brand-new teaser forecasts a whole new sound on their next album, due out in September

Muse will return this September with The 2nd Law, an album that — based on what we just saw — seemingly pushes their sound in a whole new direction: namely, dubstep.
That's based on a brand-new teaser trailer that the band premiered Wednesday (June 6), one filled with appropriately apocalyptic imagery (riot-torn streets, smoke-riddled landscapes, dour newscasters) and subtext (Industrialism! Capitalism! Terrorism!) and, of course, the now-familiar knotted electronics and wub-wub-wubbing basslines of dubstep.
And we're not the only ones who seem to be picking up on it, either. Since the trailer's premiere, fans have been flooding YouTube with comments that run the gamut from "Muse ... Dupstep ... Wtf" to "Muse Dubstep? It'll be awesome because it's Muse" (can't argue with logic like that). The new...

And so we have the second of our lists. Myself and, fellow WhatCulture music writer, Rhys Milsom have compiled another list of 10 albums to watch out for this year, this time focussing the latter half of the year and some of the releases with unspecified release dates that are due for dropping this year.
Judging by the releases on display, the end half of this year is going to be of just as high a calibre as that of the first half; with some classics in the making, big artists returning, up and comers proving their worth and make or break time for other artists.
2012 looks set to be an exciting time for music new and old, so at least if the world does end come December, musically speaking at least, we’ll be going out with a bang, not a whimper.

The past 12 months have seen the release of monster albums from Adele, Lady Gaga, Drake, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
But the next 12 are promising to bring even more music from several of those artists, plus new albums from Mumford & Sons, Rick Ross, Jay-z, Linkin Park, Paramore, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5 and Green Day.
It's a bumper crop of major albums from some of rock, pop and hip-hop's biggest stars, who are returning from long breaks, hoping to follow up smash debuts or just trying to keep their momentum going.
While release dates are always subject to change, here are some of the most anticipated releases of 2012.

"My rational thought at that time was, 'Oh I won't drink spirits today, I'll just drink beer'. You just don't think properly. You don't really consider that you're killing yourself... Or even if you do, you get to the point where you don't care about anything (more)...

Muse's victory in the Favorite Alternative Rock Artist category at Sunday night's 2010 American Music Awards felt like the crown jewel in what has been a pretty incredible few years for the band.
Their latest album, 2009's The Resistance, has sold millions of copies around the world, scored them a handful of hit singles, allowed them to sell out concerts on four different continents and perform at a number of high-profile television events. A bulk of that success is because of Muse's participation on the soundtracks of "The Twilight Saga" movies (Muse are "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer's favorite band). Their "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)," for one, was the...

Muse star Chris Wolstenholme is celebrating after becoming a father for the fifth time. The bassist's wife Kelly gave birth to their son Buster on Thursday, November 4 and the star admits it was an emotional experience for him.
In a post on Muse's Twitter.com page, he writes, "Buster Wolstenholme born today by C-section. Weighing in at 7lbs 7 oz. Kelly and Buster are doing great and I can't stop crying."
The band was forced to reschedule U.S. tour dates when they learned Kelly was pregnant to allow Wolstenholme to be at her side when she gave birth.
Baby Buster joins siblings Alfie, 11, Ava-Jo, 9, Frankie, 7, and Ernie, 2. The picture of the newborn was quickly uploaded on the band's Twitter page.

hollywoodnews.com: British band Muse’s bassist felt he was “selling his soul” by recording the theme tune for new movie Eclipse. Chris Wolstenholme, 31, said he isn’t a fan of the vampire movie series despite recording Neutral Star Collision for the film.
According to MTV, he said he “quite enjoyed” the first film Twilight but hadn’t seen the others. He added: “I’m not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you’ve just got to get your music out there in different ways… “You have to take every opportunity you get and sometimes you have to sell your soul.”

Muse have revealed that they will take a break from music after wrapping up their world tour in December. The rock group, who feature on the latest Twilight soundtrack, said that they will work on a new album instead of touring next year. Muse star Chris Wolstenholme was wary of allowing the band to be linked to the "Twilight" movie franchise - because he thought it may be uncool. The group's hit song "Supermassive Black Hole" was featured in the first 2008 movie, and they also contributed tunes to last year's "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" as well as the current installment, "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse".
The British rockers have since credited their inclusion on the soundtracks with helping them find chart success in America - but bassist Wolstenholme wasn't always convinced they should allow their songs to be used. He tells the BBC, "I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways. You have to take every opportunity you get over there (America) and sometimes you have to sell your soul."

While Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is busy nailing Kate Hudson, bassist Chris Wolstenholme is risking his life by insulting the Twilight franchise…the same franchise that made his band a favorite amongst money-spending Twi-hards around the globe. Muse has appeared on every Twilight soundtrack thus far, and while their dark rock music suits the movies, they’re also a favorite of author Stephenie Meyer. Yes, she has dedicated books to the band. Muse, it seems, is her muse. But Chris ain’t so sold on the whole ‘appear on a cheesy tween movie soundtrack, get billions of fans’ formula, telling BBC’s Radio 1, “It’s very difficult in America, because you don’t have anything like Radio 1, nothing is national. You have to take every opportunity you get over there, and sometimes you have to sell your soul.” Chris also added, “I’m not sure how cool it is to...

Apparently, expressing gratitude isn't big on Muse's list of priorities. The British band, who have contributed to all three of the soundtracks for the Twilight vampire movie series, have apparently lost their own souls, after providing the musical soundtrack for soulless-but-beautiful creatures of the night for so long. At least, that's how the band's bass player, Chris Wolstenholme, sees things. During a recent interview with the BBC, Wolstenholme admitted, "I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways...It's very difficult in America because you...

Muse disses "Twilight" movies! Now this is just plain rude! According to recent reports, Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme says he feels like he's selling his soul when he writes songs for "The Twilight Saga" soundtracks, including tracks for "Twilight," "Twilight Saga: New Moon" and "Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
He said: "I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways...You have to take every opportunity you get over there and sometimes you have to sell your soul."
He added: "When we were in the studio writing it, one minute they said they wanted to use it in the end credits, then they said they wanted to use it in another scene.
"Then it was another scene and in the end we were like, 'Do what you want with it, we don't care any more'.

After making millions of potential new fans thanks to the inclusion of their songs on all three "Twilight" soundtrack albums, Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme may be risking the bloodthirsty wrath of the Twi-Hard Nation with some comments he recently made about the vampire sensation.
"I'm not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things, but sometimes you've just got to get your music out there in different ways," he told BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat column.
Even with the films' box-office success and the massive exposure for the band, which is stadium-rocking huge in Europe but has not yet broken through in the same way in the U.S., Wolstenholme said he's not sure the trade-off has been worth it.

Stephenie Meyer is a big fan of the band Muse and has said that their music inspired her writing. And while they've appeared on all three soundtracks to the "Twilight Saga" films so far, the band said the movies aren't their "cup of tea."
Muse contributed "Supermassive Black Hole" to the first "Twilight" soundtrack, "I Belong To You (New Moon Remix)" to the "Twilight Saga: New Moon" soundtrack, and "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)" to "Eclipse." They told the BBC they haven't bothered to watch any of the films after "Twilight" and likened the experience to selling their souls.
