- His first cousin once-removed, Vince Sherry, was brutally murdered along with his wife in the mid-'80s. This became the subject of a best-selling true crime novel entitled "Mississippi Mud".

- Graduated magna cum laude from Clarion University of PA where he won the Daniel Preuss Award for excellence in musical theatre for his performance as T.R. in Tintypes.

- His father, James L. Sherry, passed away on February 20, 2005, as a result of throat cancer.

- After many years performing in professional theatre productions across the U.S., Canada, and around the world, he began pursuing TV and film in late 2002.
