Who doesn't love a good summer movie?
Taylor Cole stars with Kanoa Goo in this romantic island adventure which finds a conservationist in Hawaii for a friend's wedding, helping the new manager make sustainable changes to his hotel.
We had the chance to chat with Taylor well before the SAG-AFTRA strike to pump some excitement into your upcoming viewing of Aloha Heart.
Taylor, I absolutely loved Aloha Heart.
Oh, that makes me happy. I haven't seen it yet, so I'm taking your word for it.
Oh my gosh. I loved it. Sometimes the movie just gets it right, and this is one of them.
Good. Do you have ties to Hawaii yourself? Did it make you want to go?
I do not have ties, but I absolutely want to go. What did you think of the script when you first read it?

Hallmark Christmas movies remain as cozy as ever, with tree-lighting, cookie-decorating and magical snowfall still the currency of the realm. But since the arrival of Wonya Lucas as the new CEO of Hallmark Media (formerly Crown Media) in 2020, the network’s offerings have branched out in many ways: Lots more diversity, of course — including, this year, Hallmark’s first holiday romance centered on a same-sex relationship and the network’s first film focused on Kwanzaa — but also new and different plots.
The memes show no sign of dying, but the movies themselves don’t always match the traditional roadmap. Two of this year’s new movies didn’t end with a kiss, a change previously unthinkable in Hallmark-land.
How do I know all this? Because I watched all 43 new 2022 Hallmark holiday movies (including the three that premiered in July on Hallmark Channel and the nine that premiered on Hallmark Movies...

With Christmas in full swing on the Hallmark networks, beautiful holiday movies are coming in hot and heavy.
Long Lost Christmas stars Taylor Cole and Benjamin Ayres in a story reminding us that this Christmas could be our last with anyone we love.
We had the opportunity to catch up with Ben to talk about the movie and a whole lot more.
You don't have to be watching Hallmark to get your fill of Benjamin Ayres. This year alone, he's been in several Hallmark productions, Family Law on The CW, The Bad Seed Returns on Lifetime, and The Kids in the Hall.
Ben says that while Hallmark operates in the vein of old Hollywood's studio system, for other roles, he's going through the audition process.
With Hallmark, "You just get a phone call, and you're matched up with somebody else. The first inquiry is 'Who wrote it?' 'Who's starring in it?...

Have we mentioned how much we love fall?
We've got more premieres on the way this week from The CW, which wraps up the traditional broadcast nets for the most part.
Even better, as we gear up for Halloween, we've got three thrilling horror movies to scare the wits out of us in our own darkened homes. Score!!
Saturday, October 8
8/7c The Disappearance of Cari Farver
True crime aficionados will enjoy this ripped-from-the-headlines film that is based on the tragic case of Cari Farver.
And Friday Night Lights fans will enjoy an alum, Zach Gilford, starring in the film along with veteran actress Lea Thompson and Alicia Witt.
When Dave decides to break up with his girlfriend after she sends him demanding messages, a shocking discovery is made when he's still receiving them after she disappears.
Bring It On: Cheer or Die (Syfy)
The latest entry in the iconic franchise is a slasher.

The world is full of two types of people. There are those of us who live and breathe Hallmark’s Christmas movies for a solid month (maybe two because November) during the holiday season, and there are those of you who are married to those of us. We know the story. A big-time success comes home to a small Christmas town from the big city to help out with a bakery/funeral/inn/Christmas pageant and falls in love with the small-town guy who secretly owns all the things, and they live happily ever after – after the small miscommunication that seems tragic and

"When you're a superhero, sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for..." Gravitas has revealed an official trailer for an indie drama My True Fairytale, marking the feature directorial debut of D. Mitry. The short synopsis sets this up quite well: Angie Goodwin runs away after a horrific car crash to make her dream of becoming a superhero come true. The other synopsis says after the crash, Angie "decides to fulfill her childhood fantasy and embarks on a mysterious journey." Her recovery process is very strange. Starring Emma Kennedy as Angie, Darri Ingolfsson, Corin Nemec, Taylor Cole, Alyshia Ochse, Arnold Chun, Hector Hugo, Morgan Lindholm, Bj Mitchell, Juliana Destefano, and Mark Daugherty. This looks quite odd, not exactly as the description explains, but it might still be a worthwhile story to tell. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for D. Mitry's My True Fairytale, direct from YouTube: Angie Goodwin,...

If you watch a lot of Hallmark (and why wouldn't you), then faces start to become familiar. The actors who bring the characters to life for Hallmark dramas and romantic comedies become like family.
We recently had the opportunity to catch up with Stephen Huszar who has a brand new holiday movie on the calendar this year with A Homecoming for the Holidays.
He's a genuinely charming man, and it was a great pleasure speaking with him about the many different facets of his professional life. He even shared hints of his holiday celebrations with family.
In the movie that premiered on Saturday, December 7 and replays throughout the month, Broadway actress and musician Laura Osnes plays an aspiring country singer named Charlotte who meets Stephen's character, Matt, while she's getting ready to usher off her brother on his first overseas military deployment.

Exclusive: As the advancement of technology continues to replace the need for human labor, American History X director Tony Kaye is undertaking a new — and maybe controversial — step in filmmaking by employing an Artificial Intelligent (A.I.) actor as the lead in his next film, 2nd Born.
Unlike Robin Williams’ 1999 film Bicentennial Man or the Steven Spielberg-directed A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Kaye is aiming to cast a real robot, who will be trained in different acting methods and techniques. The idea, which originated from Kaye and producer Sam Khoze, is to forgo the use of computer-generated effects in favor of a physical A.I. robot as an actor, who they are hoping will get SAG recognition.
2nd Born is the sequel to 1st Born, an indie comedy directed by Ali Atshani and starring Val Kilmer, Tom Berenger, Greg Grunberg, Jay Abdo, Taylor Cole, Reza Sixo Safai, William Baldwin, Denise Richards and Robert Knepper.
