The Fraggles are back! This past weekend, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock returned to Apple TV+ for its second season. Red, Mokey, Gobo, Wembley, Boober, and all the wonderful little – and not-so-little – creatures have returned to entertain the young and old. Fraggles have long since been a part of many a fan’s lives. And with the new series, delightfully cheery creatures are brought back for some music and magic. As an old-school fan, seeing that the Fraggles have returned to bring joy to a new generation’s hearts is fantastic.
For this fan, I had the privilege of speaking to “Mokey” and “Red” and meeting a few of these adorable creatures in person. First, I had a fun little conversation with Mokey (puppeteered by Donna Kimbal) and Red (puppeteered by Karen Prell). Sometimes, an “interview” can be a lot of fun. And chatting with Fraggles is about as enjoyable as you can get.

Hannah Simone’s comedy pilot at ABC has cast one of its lead roles.
Variety has learned exclusively that Art Malik has signed on to star opposite Simone in the single-camera comedy. In the project, Hannah (Simone) and her Indian-American immigrant father Sid (Malik) have always been close, but after she admits to herself that she’s in a dead-end job and he reveals his marriage is over, they’re starting over together and each finding a new path. This new chapter will either make them crazy close or just crazy.
Sid is further described as newly retired and a once-adventurous man who has fallen into a routine. But he is still enthusiastic and gung-ho for all things American and fond of Western wear. Sid had moved to the United States so that his family could have a better life, and he is bursting with pride at Hannah’s many accomplishments.

If ABC has its way, art is about to imitate Hannah Simone‘s life. The Alphabet net is developing a single-camera sitcom inspired by — and starring — the New Girl alum.
Per Deadline, Simone would also co-write and exec-produce the potential series, which will be loosely based on Hannah’s nontraditional Indian family and center on a broke, single and nearly thirtysomething lead (played by Simone) as she and her father form a new bond when he announces that he and her mother are separating. Former New Girl scribes Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson are also on board as EPs.

ABC has given a put pilot commitment to a single-camera comedy starring, co-written and executive produced by New Girl alumna Hannah Simone.
The comedy, inspired by Hannah’s nontraditional Indian family, was developed at ABC Studios, which is producing. Written and executive produced by Simone and former New Girl co-executive producer Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson, the untitled project follows the broke, single and nearly thirtysomething Hannah (Simone) as she and her father form a new bond when he announces that he and her mother are separating. It’s described as a unique coming-of-age story where father and daughter are starting over together.
Simone, who was born in London to an Indian father and an English mother of German, Italian and Greek Cypriot descent, has a strong bond with her father. Four years ago, she penned an emotional tribute to him in Time magazine, praising him for his “courage, vision and pioneering feminist spirit.

Hannah Simone has set up a comedy project with a put pilot commitment at ABC, Variety has learned.
The “New Girl” alum will star in, write, and executive produce the untitled single camera project, which is inspired by Simone’s non-traditional Indian family. It follows a woman (Simone) who is broke, single, and nearly 30-something, as she and her father form a new bond when her father announces that he and her mother are separating.
Along with Simone, Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson will also write and executive produce. ABC Studios will produce. Fusfeld and Cuthbertson are currently under an overall deal at the studio.
The project keeps Simone in business with ABC, with the actress having starred in the “Greatest American Hero” reboot that went to pilot at the broadcaster last season. The pilot generated considerable buzz and was said to be well received at ABC, but was ultimately passed over.

While half of the New Girl cast spends Tuesday's episode on a cannabis-fueled escapade, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) makes her next big move back into the dating pool with some help from Schmidt (Max Greenfield). Following his cues with the dating app Dice — a seemingly more intense version of Tinder — she proceeds to go on a rapid-fire round of dates with a few undesirable gentlemen. "We just thought it would be really fun to have Jess really getting in over her head," says Matt Fusfeld, who co-wrote the episode with Alex Cuthbertson, in the below clip.

Community, Season 3, Episode 20, “Digital Estate Planning”
Written by Matt Warburton
Directed by Adam Davidson
Airs Thursdays at 8pm Et on NBC
“Digital Estate Planning” functions as something of a breather from the four-part “Evil Chang” plotline that closes out the season. At the same time it serves to bring closure to Pierce’s arc, dealing with the aftermath of his father’s death in “Advanced Gay.” Giancarlo Esposito is clever casting as Pierce’s half-brother Gilbert, and his legacy as Gus Fring lends weight to his machinations in the first two-thirds of the episode. A legacy the show’s writers are clearly aware of given how frequently his avatar adjusts his glasses.
The video game conceit may seem gratuitous at first but the quest it sends the group on gives them a reason to work together and show Pierce the true meaning of friendship. It’s likely this display of...
