Leontine Ritter von Tuschinski
Leontine Ritter von Tuschinski (from 1918, Leontina de Tusinschi), was born in 1873 as Leontine Meixner. She was the descendant of a well known family of brewery owners in Suczawa, Bukowina. After marrying in 1896, she moved to Czernowitz with her husband and was very active in the social scene of the city for several decades. Beside attending and organizing social gatherings and ballroom events, she was involved in many different charitable and cultural works. For example, she was among the founding members of the local animal protection society and was very involved in the local red cross. In 1930, she was awarded the Romanian Sanitary Merit medal first class for her commitmentt.
