Constantin Ritter von Tuschinski
Since a young age, Konstantin Erast Ritter von Tuschinski (after 1918 Constantin D. Tusinschi) considered theater a great passion of his. From the mid 1920s, he studied law in Romanian Cernauti, getting his doctorate there in 1929. Until WW2, his career in the Romanian legal system moved quickly, and he eventually became first Attorney of State in Cernauti before turning 35 years old. Constantin Tuschinski's writing on international law in Romanian and in French language brought him acclaim in the 1930s/40s. When the Soviet Union annexed Cernauti in 1940, Constantin's wife Virginia and him lost nearly all of their belongings. They first moved to Suceava, eventually relocating to Sighisoara in 1944/45. There, Constantin Tuschinski worked as an attorney in very modest circumstances and eventually, after retiring, published German language one act plays that were performed by various theater groups.
