Young Stoner Life Records rapper Strick is premiering a new music video for his song “Kisses Make Sure” with Rolling Stone. It features Young Thug, who encouraged Strick to step in the spotlight when he was just a songwriter, and James Blake. It is Thug and Blake’s first collaboration ever, according to he and Strick.
“It’s an honor,” Blake says of landing his first track with Young Thug, who the singer and producer has been a vocal fan of for years. “Hopefully people like the result. It doesn...

Saba has been teasing a collaborative project with legendary producer and fellow Chicago native No I.D. since last year; now the duo have previewed the “private collection” with their new single, “Back in Office.” Stream it below.
Last spring, Saba told Apple Music 1’s Ebro Darden that No I.D. sent him 120 beats with the goal of completing at least 10 songs for their joint project. If “Back in Office” is any indication, it will feature both artists in top form.
Over a beat J. Cole apparently passed on “back in 2009,” Saba spits endless punchlines like, “My city like Gotham, but no, I am not Ben Affleck/ Turn your head into a fraction, yeah, they will take half of that/ I am not a hunter, but I grew up in that habitat/ Life a uphill battle, but for me was more a avalanche.”
Saba’s last solo project was his excellent third studio LP,...

Public Enemy’s Chuck D has sold a sizable chunk of his songwriting catalog to his longtime publisher, Reach Music.
Songwriting royalties are split in two — the writer share and the publisher share — and as part of this new deal, Reach Music has acquired 100 percent of Chuck D’s writer’s share in his publishing. The company has also purchased 50 percent of Chuck’s copyright interest in the publisher’s share (Chuck will hold on to the other half). A fee for the deal was not disclosed.

Fans no longer need a Tidal subscription to listen to Jay-Z’s back catalogue online. In honor of his 50th birthday, the rapper has released his entire discography on Spotify, much of which he pulled from the streaming site back in April of 2017.
The release includes his most recent album 4:44, as well as Watch the Throne, The Black Album, American Gangster and more. Jay-Z originally took most of his catalogue off the site in 2017 ahead of the release of 4:44, presumably to encourage fans to sign up for his service Tidal.
