- Jorge Corante is a musician, film composer and producer based in Los Angeles.
Corante recently produced the end-title song "This Town" for the feature documentary The Bad Kids which won the "U.S Special Jury Award: Vérité Filmmaking" at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. In 2015, Corante scored Sila and the Keepers of the Arctic - a critically acclaimed documentary that examines the impact of global warming on a small, isolated Arctic community.
Corante began his career in the early 90's creating music for an illustrious list of Pop and R-n-B artists such as; Paula Abdul, C+C Music Factory, Janet Jackson, K-Ci & JoJo, Robin Thicke, Adina Howard and Brownstone, to name a few. In addition, he has been awarded numerous Gold and Multi-Platinum awards for his work in the record industry.
Since 2003, Corante has written and produced songs for feature films such as Scary Movie 3 (Miramax) The Town (Warner Brothers), Ninja Assassin ( Warner Brothers), Big Momma's House 2 (20th Century Fox) as well as Television shows The Proud Family Movie (Disney) and CSI: Miami (CBS).
In 2009, Corante scored Dirt: The Movie a documentary narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won several awards, including the best documentary award at the Visions/Voices Environmental Film Festival and the "Best film for our future" award at the Mendocino Film Festival.
