Cut! 2014
Director: David Rountree
Cast (In credits order): Sam Scarber , Dahlia Salem , David Banks , David Rountree , William McNamara , Gabrielle Stone , Suze Lanier-Bramlett , Chris Moir, Allen Maldonado, Rosie Garcia
Cut! is a satire of the indie horror "industry" and a clever, dark parody of indie horror films that both embraces and sends up the clichés that we have come to expect from straight to DVD horror. It is also a very good movie that ingeniously disguises itself as a very bad one.
Travis is a manager at a studio warehouse with an encyclopedic knowledge of horror, who dreams of making a horror movie, but despite the wealth of resources around him, can't seem to come up with the resources to make his dreams come true. His friend and coworker Lane is an unstable ex-con with a penchant for pushing people's buttons.

Actor and music video director David Rountree (XXX, State Of The Union) has found his way behind the camera on Cut!, his feature length directorial debut. Rountree is wearing many hats on the Psycho Rock Productions picture, also serving as actor, co-writer (with David Banks), producer, and editor in a picture that takes filmmaking into very real, very scary, territory.
The film stars Sam Scarber, Dahlia Salem, David Banks, Gabrielle Stone, Suze Lanier-Bramlett, Chris Moir, Allen Maldonado, and Rosie Garcia. The special make up effects are by Brittany Duncan.
Synopsis (courtesy Psycho Rock):

Previously: Corcy finally chose to make a baby the old fashion way – by using PayPal. Sajdah put the pedal to the metal on her 2-week "relationship," despite being too young to drive. Whitney had a fight with Sara but came back after looking under her soul and finding only dust bunnies. A sober Romi cut Kelsey in half during a freak scissoring accident. And Claire didn't do anything terribly interesting, but her mane did land a role in the touring company of The Lion King.
This week, Whitney emerges from the revolving door on her bedroom to find Rachel sitting at her computer, eating a raw pepper. Whitney tries a piece because she hasn't eaten anything but Sara in days. Maternal Rachel worries she's becoming nothing more than a bunch of dreads on a stick. You mean like this?

To what lengths would lesbians have to go in order to get a lesbian-starring TV show on a major network? Listen to I Kissed a Girl nonstop for the rest of our lives? Date Rose Garcia from The Real L Word? Light candles and slow dance? Give up Brittana forever?
Whoa, whoa--before you do something too drastic like tattoo the word Biebian on your forehead, chew on this: NBC has picked up a half-hour pilot called I Hate That I Love You, revolving around a lesbian couple.
The rom-com series comes from the genius of Jhoni Marchenko, the writer, producer and Emmy recipient for Will & Grace, and producer of Men in Trees (whatever happened to Anne Heche?) and Murphy Brown.
While my goosebumps have goosebumps at the thought of a real-life fictional lesbian couple on network TV, I am a wee bit irked by the logline of the story:

In this second installment of "Behind the Scenes in Hollywood," we talk to veteran television editor, Eve Bregman, who's worked on everything from Dirty Jobs to The Real L Word, which we suspect might actually be the same show. Eve stepped out of her edit bay long enough to tell us about working for Ilene Chaiken, explain why lesbians make the best editors, and give some good advice about how to be on a reality show and not shame your family.
Eve Bregman, Editor
AfterEllen: Let's get right to it. You edited The Real L Word.
Eve Bregman: Yes.
Ae: And?
Eb: I've been sworn to secrecy with a million dollar [non-disclosure] contract.
Ae: If I give you a million dollars, will you tell me?
Eb: Maybe.
Ae: Maybe?
Eb: Give it to me in cash. [laughs] I can tell you this. I thought it was really hot and really sexy.

The ladies of "The Real L Word" are pissed at Elisabeth Hasselbeck who made enemies again when she thought older women become lesbians because they can't get men. During Television Critics Association presentation of Showtime, the open lesbians whose life is captured on camera called the "The View" host "ignorant".
Hasselbeck said in episode airing Wednesday, July 28, "All the older men are going for younger women, leaving the women with no one." Her co-host Joy Behar disagreed, saying that one just doesn't wake up and decides to be lesbian. But Hasselbeck countered it back by saying sometimes when you get older, it's more about companionship than something sexual.
Asked for a comment, "Real L Word" cast Nikki Weiss who admitted in her profile she is new to the lesbian scene said, "I know that Elisabeth is really conservative, but it was also a really hurtful and ignorant comment. I don't know why she'd say it.

Viewers will get to see a lot more of the ladies of Showtime's 'The Real L Word' in the last three episodes of their first season.
"You'll see several sexual situations and some nudity," said a sly Whitney Mixter.
Episode 7, in particular, "is epic," teased Rose Garcia.
'Real L Word' cast members Mixter, Garcia, Jill Goldstein, Mikey Hoffman, Tracy Ryerson, Nikki Weiss were joined by executive producers Ilene Chaiken and Jane Lipsitz on a panel at the Television Critics Association press tour. The group previewed the rest of the season, which Chaiken promised will bring some of the "shock value" that was a hallmark of her scripted series, 'The L Word.'
