UK TV Diversity Chief Defends Social Media Activity After “Antisemitism” Row Over Stephen Fry Speech
Exclusive: The chief executive of one of the UK’s top diversity bodies has denied ‘liking’ allegedly antisemitic LinkedIn posts about Stephen Fry’s Christmas speech.
Deborah Williams, who runs the Creative Diversity Network, said she did not endorse messages posted over the festive period by former Channel 4 commissioner Tamara Abood.
Williams’ denial comes amid other questions about her social media activity, including re-posting a petition, shared by controversial politician Chris Williamson, calling on Israel’s ambassador to the UK to be expelled.
Abood was accused of antisemitism by high-profile Jewish producers after she wrote that Fry’s rallying cry against rising discrimination was “disingenuous” and demonstrated “where the power lies” in UK media. Fry’s six-minute speech was produced by Fulwell 73 for Channel 4.
Screenshots seen by Deadline show that Williams apparently ‘liked’ a message from Abood in which she said: “Unlike the disingenuous Fulwell Fry version, this is...

*a DVD screener of this film was provided by Echo Bridge Entertainment.
**here be major spoilers.
Director/writer: Paul Moore.
Torture porn is not dead as Paul Moore's Keepsake reminds us. Released on DVD February 21st, this film revitalizes a genre that has almost been forgotten. However, the brutal scenes of dismemberment, plier pulling dentistry, Achille's heel cuttng with sheers, scenes of female humiliation and submission will reduce the enjoyment (hopefully) for most horror fans. The final castration scene is the coup de grâce in a film that makes its gruesome point visually over and over again.
Janine (Sunny La Rose) is the only character given a name in the show and she is also the protagonist and damaged hero. Her car crash at night brings a mute tow truck driver (Robert Pralgo). He has a plan for Janine. After removing a curious cop from the situation, this killer...

Keepsake is a film from Stormcatcher Films that made an appearance at Screamfest 2008 and then apparently fell of the edge of the world. Currently being marketed by New Films International, Keepsake seems to be in a release limbo, with no release date available. Even the film's official websites have not been updated in some time. One review from Bloody-Disgusting calls Keepsake "something shitty," while Entertainment Review states: "the acting between the two leads is extremely good" (Bloody, Enter'). So while there are some ambivalent feelings on the film, from two different camps, now is the time to release the film on DVD to let fans decide if Paul Moore's film is worth a viewing. A trailer can be found at the film's website, below.
