She taught in both public and private elementary schools for over seven
years, and home schooled her own children for four years.
Her mother is German. Her father, an American died in 1966. He
requested that Sandra and her brothers grow up in South Carolina (his
hometown) if he did not return from Vietnam.
Her father named her after the actress Sandra Dee.
Printwork and commercials have been a mainstay since college, but the
focus on film began in the late 1990s.
She obtained a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling.
Her three sons, Kurt, Luke and Koen were born in the coastal town of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Honolulu, Hawaii was her place of birth where she lived until she was
one and a half years old.
Chosen as "Most Courteous" by her high school classmates.
She became eligible to join Screen Actor's Guild with a 1995 Publix
commercial titled "Salad Days" filmed in a canoe at Cypress
Gardens.
She has three brothers and two sisters.
She was an Absolut runway model for three years and the female emcee of
the Charleston SC charity show in 2000.
While at Clemson University, she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta
sorority and an Alpha Tau Omega fraternity little sister.
Was cast as "Beautiful Woman" in Leatherheads (2008). One scene is among the deleted scenes on the DVD.
