That was remarkably quick.
Weller escaped, and Jane received amateur surgery during Blindspot Season 5 Episode 5.
So by the end, the team was together again and back in the fight against Madeline.
After, you know, they take care of their payment to Ice Cream.
That's only fair since he did save their asses (except for Reade) back in Iceland on Blindspot Season 4 Episode 22.
They just can't catch a break while on the run, can they?
Rich went out to find blood for Jane only to have that guy turn over their location to Ice Cream.
It's the final season of Blindspot, so maybe that's why these two storylines got wrapped up so promptly.
As the episode title suggests, this was all about head games.
Ivy tried to bullshit Kurt at first, planting the seeds about Jane's gunshot and Bethany's predicament, attempting to get him to trade the rest of his teammates...

Even the most unflappable Blindspot agents have their breaking points, and Kurt Weller seemed to reach his on Thursday.
The NBC drama’s latest outing — the fifth in its 11-episode final season — found Weller getting tortured by the Dabbur Zann terror group, who is still seeking intel on the rogue agents’ whereabouts. Upon getting an intense cocktail of drugs injected into his body, Weller proceeded to hallucinate people from his past, including Season 1 adversary Oscar (played once again by Francois Arnaud) as well as his own father, Bill.

Back in 2016, Matthew A. Cherry put out a call on Twitter looking for 3D artists to help with a project. On Sunday, Cherry was standing on the stage of the Dolby Theatre celebrating his Oscar win for best animated short for “Hair Love.”
His triumph comes as Variety continues to celebrate African-American artisans who work behind the scenes and continue to make an impact.
“Hair Love” was executive produced by Frank Abney and Peter Ramsey. The latter has been drawing since the age of 3. Ramsey, whose credits as an illustrator include “Godzilla,” “Independence Day” and “Batman Forever,” was a self-taught storyboard artist who dreamed as a young kid in Crenshaw of becoming a director.
Ramsey went on to work at DreamWorks and directed “Rise of the Guardians,” making history as the first African-American to helm an animated film with a $145 million budget. He notched another benchmark in 2019 as the first...

Hollywood’s quest to diversify has largely left out a segment of the industry that is beginning to band together in support of one another: Women and women of color in animation. Animation, like much of Hollywood, has historically been a boys club. Looking at below-the-line positions, the gender ratio of males to females across 9 key roles or unit head positions was 8.5 to 1 across 52 of the top animated films from 2014 to 2018, according to a study by the Inclusion Initiative at USC Annenberg. The numbers for women of color are even more disproportionate. For example, only 28% of story editors are women but only 1% are women of color. (See chart below) “It’s really because we don’t think about it,” said Taylor Shaw, founder and CEO of production company Black Women Animate. “Animation is just so behind the scenes. When you put the stats in front of them, people recognize how...

Rich Dotcom has become one of Blindspot's best-known characters. Blindspot Season 2 Episode 14 brought back the eccentric genius played by Ennis Esmer for the third time, and like the last two times, his presence turned the show into something completely different.
"Borrow or Rob" was more about Rich and his story than anything having to do with the FBI. It opened with a flashback showing Rich and his partners as ne'er do well college students, and then naturally those classmates wound up being the bad guys in the case of the week.
That's great if you're a Rich Dotcom fan. If you're not, this episode probably dragged for you.
Rich certainly has his moments. His weird obsession with Kurt Weller allows for Sullivan Stapleton's comedic talents to come out, and Esmer is a great person for him to play off of.

Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not proceed if you have not watched Wednesday’s Blindspot fall finale. You will be sorry. Everyone else, proceed!
What just happened?!
After teasing a double agent among the Blindspot team, the identity of the FBI mole was revealed in the series' fall finale: the unassuming psychiatrist Dr. Robert Borden (Ukweli Roach). Turns out, he had a history with Jane (Jaimie Alexander) years before she was found tatted up in the middle of New York City in the pilot, which turned out to be the catalyst for the creation of Sandstorm. Making matters worse, Borden’s betrayal also effectively ends his romance with Patterson (Ashley Johnson).
Wednesday’s episode also brought Jane’s relationship with her brother, Roman (Luke Mitchell), to new heights. After he chose not to kill his sister at Shepherd’s (Michelle Hurd) request, Roman immediately seemed to regret his choice -- to the point where Jane made the decision...

It feels like it's going to become a thing now for the Blindspot characters to have some excuse to dress up every season. While Blindspot Season 3 Episode 4 even references the first time that happened during Blindspot Season 1 Episode 9, "If Beth," it's not as strong of an episode, no matter how fun it is to look at Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton in formal wear.
The main plot line of a murderous assassin who winds up being a burned CIA operative has the requisite amount of plot twists but it feels as if it takes too long to get to them. The entire museum gala sequence borders on making the FBI team look dumb with how Elizabeth Gubara is able to repeatedly stay multiple steps ahead of them and escape even as they're supposed to be locking down the building.
Yes, she's CIA, but our team is supposed to be pretty smart too.

Who really is Jane Doe? We're about to find out on Blindspot, and it's going to change pretty much everything. Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) relationship with Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) has already been basically ruined by the reveal that Jane was not actually Kurt's childhood friend, Taylor Shaw. At the same time, Jane learned that she had orchestrated the whole thing—tattoos and all—on herself, but she still didn't know who she was. "To Kurt, it was a huge betrayal," Stapleton told E! News during NBC's summer press tour. "He believes that she could have potentially known the whole time. So that's kind of hard-hitting, to be an FBI agent...

After 13 episodes of Blindspot, Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) is finally starting to cause some suspicion! Doesn’t it seem like that should have happened on day one? Okay, at least on day two then? On last week’s episode of Blindspot, it looked like we were going to have a gunfight between the CIA and the FBI. It was also looking like Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander, Kyle Xy) was not really Taylor Shaw after all. Even more importantly, Zapata (Audrey Esparza, Public Morals) was becoming a snitch to pay off her gambling debts. Confused or intrigued? Let’s dive into this week’s episode to try to make sense of it all. The beginning of “Cede Your Soul” looked like something out of a soft-core, made-for-Cinemax movie. With each passing episode, it becomes increasingly clear that Blindspot's plotlines and the characters entangled within them were all sent to do one thing: bait and switch."Split the Law" opens on a Pakistani man getting gassed in a cab. "Just relax, Dodi," says the driver as his victim struggles to breathe. And then — switch — we're in Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) apartment, and Jane (Jaimie Alexander) is meeting his sister and nephew. But the hugs, hellos, and reminiscences don't last long. Jane (or is it Taylor?) flashes back to the fuzzy childhood memory of a man leading her down the stairs and through a door. Thus far, we have been led to believe that this memory is connected to the night she — young Taylor Shaw — was taken from her bedroom. In a flood of conflicting emotions, Jane rushes from Weller's house. Cut to the Municipal Worker Association in...

So is Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander, Kyle Xy) really Taylor Shaw or what? Five episodes in, I don’t think we have a more clear answer. While science seems to be contradicting a bit, a new set of flashbacks could be steering us in one direction. Plus, Weller (Sullivan Stapleton, Strike Back) seems so sure — and really, is that guy ever wrong? Episode 5, “Split The Law,” kicks off with a guy hailing a cab. That seems pretty normal, but he wants to go the Empire State Building in the middle of the night. That’s not the bizarre thing, though. … Continue reading →
