Netflix has become known for axing fan-favorite series recently. Now, a beloved talent show, Dance Monsters, has been trashed from the streaming service after just one season. The star-studded program was like nothing anyone had seen before, but the streamer has decided not to renew for Season 2. Continue reading for details about why and if the show might be picked up elsewhere.
Dance Monsters Had A Star-Studded Cast & A Huge Budget
Dance Monsters is a dance talent show that focuses on visual effects. It was compared to ITV’s The Masked Dancer. The show was filmed in London, but it was streamed around the world on Netflix.
Each competitor dressed up as a monster of some sort for their performance and typically used a lot of lights and color on stage. The contestants also performed away from the judges and audience, making it easier to “let loose.”

Rihanna‘s “Take a Bow” is one of her most underrated songs, which is pretty shocking considering how popular it was back in the 2000s. The track was co-written by an R&b star and it originally had an Asian flavor. The tune shares its title and some of its other attributes with a Madonna song from the 1990s.
Rihanna’s ‘Take a Bow’ was originally inspired by an Asian musician
Stargate is a production duo that gave us hits by Beyoncé, Ne-Yo, Fifth Harmony, Katy Perry, and Rihanna. Oh boy, have they written numerous hits for the “Rude Boy” singer. During a 2010 interview with Sound on Sound, Stargate’s Mikkel S. Season 11 of “The Masked Singer” kicked off with a jaw-dropping reveal that had panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora gobsmacked. But nobody was more surprised to see Book rip off his costume than host Nick Cannon, who quickly realized the novel serenading the audience with “So Sick” by Ne-Yo was the emcee’s “Celebrity Prank Wars” buddy Kevin Hart. The comedian took part in the season premiere just for fun, eliminating himself before the audience or panelists even had a chance to vote.
“I got you, Nick!” Kevin screamed. “This is a prank! You had no idea. You had no idea that I was coming here, Nick. And guess what, Nick? There’s nothing you can do about it!” The host quickly responded, “This is stupid! That was the worst performance ever on the history of this show, how about that?” Kevin wasn’t accepting any insults,...

We’ve watched Goldfish cover of “Vampire” by Olivia Rodrigo. And we’ve taken another look at her clues package. We think we’ve cracked the code as to Goldfish’s true identity. Keep reading as we have all your “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the answer to the question, “Who is Goldfish?”

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched the Season 11 season premiere of “The Masked Singer,” which aired March 6 on Fox.
“The Masked Singer” kicked off its 11th season on Wednesday night — and in perhaps the show’s most unusual reveal ever, comedian Kevin Hart brought his prank war with host Nick Cannon to the show.
Hart brought his one-night-only appearance to “The Masked Singer” as Book, singing the song “So Sick,” by Ne-Yo (who happened to be the Season 10 winner on the show). The performance… was a bit pitchy, dawg. At the end of the song, the show’s panelists seemed to dig it. But after Robin Thicke quickly I.D.’ed Hart, the star took off his costume to reveal himself.

Calvin Harris revealed that his time DJing live is eventually going to come to an end.
The music producer-songwriter, who turned 40 in January, shared in a recent interview with U.K. radio station Capital Dance that he will likely stop DJing in approximately 10 years.
“I always said that once I get past 50, I can’t see me DJing, man,” the “This Is What You Came For” artist said. But host MistaJam was quick to point out that British DJ Carl Cox is still active, doing live performances at age 61.
“It’s a certain type of DJing. On the more commercial end, it gets a wee bit… a little bit suspect,” Harris quipped.
Though Harris has brought his music all around the world, headlining some of the biggest festivals including Coachella, he shared that once he moves away from DJing, he wants to turn his focus to the studio.

Before Ne-Yo became a household name, the budding performer was working tirelessly as a songwriter behind the scenes, and his breakthrough came in the form of then-16-year-old singer Mario.
Released in October 2004, Ne-Yo wrote “Let Me Love You” for Mario’s sophomore album Turning Point — the follow-up to his hit “Just a Friend 2002” — and the smooth R&b track became an international hit. It topped the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine weeks and spent 11 weeks on top of the Hot R&b/Hip-Hop songs chart. It earned Mario his first-ever Grammy nomination and helped the teen singer transition to a performer with an adult fanbase.
But Ne-Yo admits, “I remember when I wrote that song, I did not think Mario was going to be able to pull it off.”

Pop singer/songwriter Mika Hashizume is finally debuting his solo career with his brand new EP, ‘bleached’. The EP’s soulful lead track, characterised by R&b flavours and alternative elements titled “So I Don’t Forget”, was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Patrick “J.Que” Smith, who is also one of the co-writers of Joji’s “Die For You”.
The drifting atmosphere of “So I Don’t Forget” carries a sense of nostalgia, and the fleeting worldview evokes a feeling of transience. The track is not only for listeners with a high sensitivity to music, but also for those close to Western music culture.
“In the beginning stage of creating the EP, I didn’t have a fixed concept, except for the fact that I wanted each song in the EP to represent styles and genres that I fell in love with after starting my song-writing journey. It was only...

In the first season of The Masked Singer, audiences crowned the autotune-stripped T-Pain, known as the Monster. In the finale of Season 10, Cow disillusioned judges and audiences alike with his hip-swerving moves and flamboyant gestures, but his definitive falsetto made the artist hard to deny. As the masked contestant’s time on the show came to a close, Cow performed “Take a Bow” by Rihanna, and was revealed as R&b singer-songwriter Ne-Yo. By the show’s end, panelist Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke were able to pin Ne-Yo, who...

The Season 10 finale of “The Masked Singer” took place Wednesday, December 20. Cow, Donut, Gazelle and Sea Queen each rocked the stage before audience members and panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger voted for their favorite. After the first round of voting, Sea Queen and Gazelle were eliminated and revealed to be Macy Gray and Janel Parrish, respectively. After a final showdown with Donut (revealed to be John Schneider), Cow was named the winner and took home the Golden Mask Trophy. The dancing dairy queen was exposed as Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo.
“I was giving girl cow realness,” he told host Nick Cannon during his unmasked interview. “I chose the female cow because I can’t disguise my singing voice, but I can disguise my speaking voice, I can change that.” Although Ne-Yo has won major awards, there is one stage he never got to be on. “I’ve won Grammys,...

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the Season 10 finale of The Masked Singer, including the identity of Cow.
The Masked Singer has officially crowned its Season 10 winner.
The two-hour finale of the Fox singing competition series brought its four finalists — Cow, Sea Queen, Gazelle, and Donut — head-to-head for the Masked trophy. After putting on two very different performances, Cow battled his way to the top.
No one should be too shocked by this win, considering Cow is none other than three-time Grammy winner Ne-Yo. Props to Robin Thicke for figuring it out first.
Ne-Yo had been impressing the judges all season. But no one except for Thicke was able to deduce who might be behind the mask until the final moments of Wednesday’s episode. It wasn’t until a rendition of “Take A Bow” by Rihanna, which Ne-Yo wrote and produced with StarGate, that Nicole Scherzinger also realized...

Michael Rapaport had never sung in public until “The Masked Singer.” Now, he can’t stop. Rapaport was unmasked on Wednesday as the Pickle, the latest costumed celebrity to go home on the hit Fox unscripted series.
“I was nervous about it. I have never sang publicly before. I am not a singer. I’m not a dancer,” Rapaport told Variety. “But the world soon found out that I have the voice of an angel. My singing and my voice brings tears of joy. And I had a lot of fun doing the show. I came to win. Unfortunately, I didn’t win this season, but you know the impression of the Pickle will live on forever!”
No one guessed Rapaport, who sang Weezer’s “Beverly Hills” this week.

Chances are, if you’ve seen Sia onstage at any point in recent years, her face was most likely shielded by an oversize (and often very colorful) wig. But the Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter left the extra hair at home Sunday when she turned up to the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles to attend the 5th Daytime Beauty Awards.
Not only did she take the stage and show off her full face, but what she revealed under the lights was also brand-new. “I’m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn’t lie about shit,” explained the 47-year-old who has been candid during interviews about everything from depression and divorce to sobriety and creativity. “I got an amazing facelift from Dr. Talei. He is incredible. And he is doing so much good work — and not just for the pop stars of the world.”
