Amazon Prime is all set to bring one of Bethesda’s Fallout game series into a show, and fans of the game are clearly excited. Prime Video’s Fallout TV series received its first trailer at Ccxp back in December 2023 and it won’t be an exaggeration to say that it brings the game series to life.
A still from the Fallout TV Series
The game will premiere on Prime Video on April 11, 2024. Ahead of the release, the makers of the show, executive producer and director Jonathan Nolan, executive producer and co-showrunner Graham Wagner, and series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins, spilled some beans on the making of the series.
Why did the Fallout series stick to the original plot?
During the interaction, the makers were asked about Fallout game creator Tom Howard’s involvement in the process of creating the game. To this Nolan says,

In Greek mythology, after the Titan Prometheus enraged the god Zeus by stealing fire and gifting it to mankind, Zeus chained him to a rock, while an eagle devoured Prometheus' liver for eternity. Such was the price the Titan had to pay for his so-called transgression, and with the discovery of fire, mankind undoubtedly shifted to its next phase of civilization. Robert Eggers' haunting, intense "The Lighthouse" ends by embodying Prometheus' fate within a layered allegory: The lifeless body of Ephraim Winslow (Robert Pattinson) lies on the beach, his entrails being consumed by pecking seagulls ad infinitum. It's a haunting image that feels disturbingly final, charged with interlinked symbolism that bleeds into one another as the film crawls to its horrifying end.
"The Lighthouse" encapsulates the endless vistas of the human experience that flit between defensive and tender, vulnerable and murderous, finally descending into a destructive brand of madness. The setting,...

This Tuesday, December 6, brings History of the Occult to Screambox, a trippy new horror movie shot in black and white. The release comes on the heels of Netflix’s Silver Screen Horror Edition of “Cabinet of Curiosities” episode “Graveyard Rats,” further proof that monochrome horror still packs a potent punch. Black and white movies evoke vintage classics, but they can instantly set a striking tone when employed in modern genre films.
This week’s streaming picks feature modern monochromatic horror movies that instantly transport you to another time and place, instilling an ominous mood in the process.
As always, here’s where you can stream them this week.

‘Mission impossible’ escapism about high-stakes wartime sabotage looks at an authentic, dramatic episode of WW2 — the onslaught of futuristic V-Weapons on London — and then veers into fictional fantasy (think big explosions). George Peppard toughs it out to get free of his MGM contract. Lili Palmer and Barbara Rütting do the heavy lifting, while Sophia Loren is in as a glamorous sidebar. Weirdly, the movie all but lionizes the Germans that develop, test and fire the V-Weapon rockets at England … exaggerating their scientific progress and giving them a strange kind of ‘Right Stuff.’

Inquiring minds want to know — why you’re thinking about a Brick Wall. John Wyndham’s diabolically clever alien invasion fantasy is taken straight from nature: children fathered by who-knows-what are found to possess a hive mentality and brain-powers that we puny Earthlings cannot oppose. Is it simply Us against Them, or was this perhaps a paranoid image of anti-social, dangerous 1950s teens? The CineSavant review is a full essay this time.
