Sydney creative agency The Hallway has created an app targeting the construction industry.

The Hallway has launched an iPhone app for Knauf, the global leader in lightweight construction systems.
A first for the construction industry, the ‘Knauf Australia’ app allows architects, specifiers, contractors and builders to quickly find the building solution most suitable to their needs. It does this through a set of advanced filters that search through more than 9,000 systems. Users can then view detailed specifications, images, and can favourite items for future reference.
Brad Bennett, head of digital at The Hallway, said: “We developed this app for Knauf to help distill their 9,000 system configurations into mobile format for their customers – making their jobs easier, wherever they are.”

The Hallway at Battle of the Ad Bands
Sydney ad agency The Hallway has won The Communications Council’s Battle of the Ad Bands music competition.
The Hallway’s band, called The Cake Club, came out ahead of Invisible Artists’ The Animals of Description, Heckler’s Awesome Welles, Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney’s RaveCave and Leo Burnett Sydney’s Kings of Leo.
The Cake Club, seen in the video below performing, was fronted by Emma Digiacomo, with Brad Bennett (guitar/keyboard/singer), Darrell Tiemens (singer), Sam Teoh (singer/dancer), Yuji Sekiya (drums), Tony Sinclair (bass/singer), Adrian Grabicki (guitar/singer) and Cat Turley (singer/dancer).
On the judging panel were Paul Harris, senior A&R manager, and Iain Grady, international marketing manager, from Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
The event was held at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney.

Christian Van Vuuren, star of the rapidly emerging online video hit Bondi Hipsters, is among the panellists appearing on a sponsor-curated session at Mumbrella360.
