Marilyn Janssen has worked as a professional audio producer since 1986. After studying human sciences at University, she worked as an assistant film director, author and post production sound editor.
Marilyn was responsible for the multi award winning movie Rivers & Tides (D: T. Reidelshimer, 2001) and the Grimme Prize Winner Der Tag der in der Handtasche verschwand (D: M. Kainz 1999).
Marilyn also writes and produces radio plays, features and on-air promotions, and produces a wide variety of other commercial sound work. Her experimental radio play Sommergras (1996-2014) was nominated for the ARD Pinball Award in 2012.
She has been a lecturer for film sound at Macromedia Universitay for Applied Science since 2012.
