Chicago – It’s the second week of the 31st edition of the Chicago Latino Film Festival which continues through Thursday, April 23rd, 2015. It concludes on that evening with the musical comedy film “Ciudad Delirio.” All films are at the AMC River East 21 in Chicago.
The energy has been strong so far throughout the festival, with filmmaker appearances, event receptions and representative films from all over the Latino world. The closing night film “Ciudad Delirio” will be followed by a reception at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Chicago. For details and to purchase tickets click here.

Bogota, Aug 14 (Ians/Efe) Jairo Varela, considered Colombia's greatest salsa composer, was buried in a cemetery in the southwestern city of Cali amid massive crowds that came to pay their last respects.
Thousands attended the funeral of the founder and director of the famous Grupo Niche salsa band.
Varela, 62, died Aug 8 of a heart attack in his apartment.
The composer of still-popular numbers like "Cali Pachanguero".

Miami, Sep 8 (Ians/Efe) Singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas and techno merengue band Proyecto Uno are among the artists set to perform at Miami's first Rock and Pop en Espanol event.
The Rola Music Fest is scheduled for Nov 11-13 at the Klipsch Amphitheater in Miami's Bayfront Park.
