A win is just another day in the neighborhood for Aew TBS Champion Jade Cargill, the wrestling company’s resident She-Hulk (she’s got the muscles to prove it), whose incredible undefeated streak currently stands at 61-0.
That perfect record will be tested at the upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view, set for this Sunday, May 28 at 8/7c in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cargill, who made history in January as the longest reigning champion of any belt, will defend her title against Taya Valkyrie, a current double champion on the indie circuit. Lavar Ball's Jba league is now facing allegations from a former player that he got stiffed out of his full paycheck ... but, just last week, Lavar was adamant he's paying All of his guys. Brandon Phillips -- who played for the L.A. Ballers this season -- claims he's only been paid roughly one-third of what he was promised ... and had to come out of pocket to pay for travel expenses. Phillips told Cycle...

Cincinnati Reds 2nd baseman Brandon Phillips is in deep-fried trouble with a pro-fat person organization after blasting a sports reporter as a "fat motherf**ker" ... TMZ has learned. The National Association for the Advancement of Fat Acceptance (Naafa) had their ears (and probably their mouths) open when Phillips went off on C. Trent Rosecrans during a news conference with Reds manager Dusty Baker. Rosecrans -- who happens to sport a fuller figure -- had gotten...

So sad. Major league baseball player Ryan Freel was found dead on Dec. 22 from what police are claiming to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Ryan Freel was found dead in his Jacksonville, Florda home on Saturday Dec. 22. The former Cincinnati Reds baseball player left a wife, Christie, and three young daughter behind.
Police told the Florida Times-Union that Ryan, 36, appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“Rip Ryan Freel!! Great teammate, great guy, n loved his family! Such a sad day today with his passing! Awful news! Prayers are with his family,” Sean Casey, Ryan’s former teammate with the Cincinnati Reds, tweeted on Dec. 22.
Ryan played for the Reds from 2003 to 2008, and during one three-year stretch had 110 stolen bases. Ryan was paid $11.5 million in his career, but ended after a succession of injuries he accumulated after 2006.

This kind of thing happens all the time. Just another Brandon Phillips between-the-legs double play.
Phillips made the between the legs play against the Mets on Sunday, to start the old 4-6-3. It's a lot better than the behind the back play he made last year, when the bum didn't even get the ball to the bag on time to complete a double play. Check the video:
Brandon Phillips better not try any funny business tonight against the Indians, or he'll liable to get one in the ear from Cleveland pitcher Derek Lowe, who, like Phillips' Reds manager Dusty Baker, maintains a manic and reckless hate in the belly of his soul.

If you find yourself without much going on with your Monday night tonight, and you'd like to stand vigil grown men fighting with each other, be sure to tune in to the Indians-Reds game. Derek Lowe will be starting for the Indians, and apparently Lowe and Reds manager Dusty Baker really hate each other.
The 2012 Mlb season has been sorely lacking in good brawls, so maybe this could be good tonic.
Lowe started against the Reds last week, and in the aftermath of the game, Lowe and Baker had an amazing back-and-forth in the media, revealing a mutual hatred of mysterious origin that has been brewing for years.
Here's what happened:
When Derek Lowe came to the plate in the fifth inning against the Reds last week, Cincinnati starter Mat Latos threw a purpose pitch inside to Lowe, which Baker later admitted he had ordered from the dugout.
Lowe gestured at Baker,...

Here are the top Feats of Strength accomplished in Major League Baseball on Thursday, June 14:
Kirk Nieuwenhuis: Mets rookie outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis homered twice and drove in three as the Mets completed an impressive sweep over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays had entered the series ten games over .500, the Mets three games over. But the Mets surprising start just keeps on going. Johan Santana was good enough over five innings to get the win, but it was the Mets sturdy bullpen that really got the job done, as it has all year long.
If the starting trio of Santana (4-3, 3.23 Era), R.A. Dickey (10-1, 2.20) and John Niese (4-2, 3.69) can keep it up, the Mets are getting contributions from so many young guys like Nieuwenhuis and David Murphy that they may just go ahead and keep contending deep into the summer.

Baseball is a gentleman's game, full of long, languid moments with periods of manic energy lumped in between. It's an easy-going sport with no clock and a lot of poetic, philosophical moments. But occasionally, tempers flair up and a good old-fashioned donnybrook breaks out. Such was the case in the game between the Cincinnati Reds and the St. Louis Cardinals in Cincinnati on Tuesday (August 10). On Monday night, Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips openly said some negative things about the Cardinals, which Cards catcher Yadier Molina apparently took really seriously. So when Phillips came up to bat in the bottom of the first inning, Molina said something to him that quickly escalated into a shout-off and the clearing of both benches.
Everything looked calm and collected for a while, until somebody threw a punch and ignited a brawl (the center of which was Cardinals pitcher Chris Carpenter and Reds hurler...

Boxing, wrestling and the Ufc aren't the only sports where you'll find people kicking the ever-loving tar out of each other. In fact, even in a game as mild-mannered as baseball, players can come to blows. Look no further than last night's heated altercation between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds during the first inning of their game, when Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips' venomous words towards the Cardinals escalated into a big — and stupid — seven minute brawl.
But fights have a tendency to escalate. What starts out as an intimate one-on-one display of dominance quickly evolves into an all-out brawl with several fists flying from all directions. Really, the Cards and Reds brawl could have escalated a whole lot worse — just check out some of these horribly escalated fictional fights for further proof!

Dear Rihanna,
Nice work snagging Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp for your fantasy baseball team. Way to get ahead of everybody who will be drafting in March. We personally wouldn't have used our first-round pick on him — especially since outfield is about the deepest position in fantasy ball — but any time you've got the opportunity to lock up a guy with 30-home run, 100-rbi power (not to mention 40+ steal potential and a career .826 Ops), we suppose you gotta make that move.
Still, we'd be lying if we said we weren't a bit concerned about the rest of your fantasy team. Taking an Of that high basically means you're gonna be screwed in the later rounds, especially when it comes to middle infielders. Trust us, you don't want to head into 2010 with Ronnie Belliard as your everyday second basemen.
So, to help salvage your season, we've gone ahead a made...
